    Re: Jan.08 Starters

Just giving an update as I am 16 weeks in and 22 lbs lighter. The last few weeks I had fluctuated between a plateau and a weight gain of 1 lb, but so far this week I have lost 2 lbs. It must be that I am more active outdoors now with the warmer weather here. I hope everyone is still having success, but if your going thru a plateau, please stay positive and don't give up........we can achieve......if we believe.........

    Re: Jan.08 Starters

Well, it's been 19-1/2 weeks since I started this journey back in Jan. Proud to say that I am in reach of my goal weight with 9.8 lbs to lose for gw of 125 or 14.8 for gw of 120. Not sure which yet as I don't want to appear too thin...lol. It is getting harder to loose the weight as I get closer, is anyone else having that same problem? I will step up on my physical activity this month to reach my goal by mid July. How's is everyone else doing who started in January? Please give an update so we can all applaud each others efforts and progress that we have achieved do date. Is anyone else closing in on their goal weight? Any tips on how to loose the last few lbs? I know...I know...slow and steady...lol...that's been my motto throughout this journey...lol

Don't be shy....drop in and get your kudos....lol....

    Re: Jan.08 Starters

This Saturday will be my 5 month mark. I really was only super disciplined Jan-March because with I got within 5 of my goal, after losing 30 lbs, I figured it was time to adjust to a sustainable lifestyle. I've also been traveling almost constantly the past 8 weeks. Fluctiations have stayed within a normal range and I'm exactly in the size range I want to be clothes-wise. My whole goal has been that if jeans get tight, indulgences go. I am now out of the country, unable to know any nutrition data, unable to control all of my input, and figuring out how to excercise after going up 7000 ft in altitude...but I am confident that with all the extra walking in my routine, avoiding the things I just don't really want and don't have to eat, and now that I am running here (3 days adjusting to the altitude and I'm up to a 3 mile run!) that I will weigh in at 140 by the time I get back to the states--making it 40 lbs lost in the first half of this year. I am really enjoying being the size I thought I'd never be and I am definitely motivated to stay here, and to keep improving my fitness!
