    Re: Post Your Stats

    Hi Tybrown,

I just started the program today.  The last time I weighed myself I was around 195.  My goal is 150.  I hope I have as much success as others.  I am a little skeptical but I am willing to give it a go.  Lossing 7.5 pounds is great!  I wish you good luck in the weeks that follow.

    Re: Post Your Stats

Hi, I'm Mac and have just bought alli, i'm a little nervous only because i'm not big on pills in general but i'm desperate to try anything at this point. Last year I was on the depo shot for 9 months and gained 30 pounds and the scale doesnt want to  budge. I even tried curves for 2 weeks to get a jump start on weight loss, lost a couple of inches and gained about 2 pounds!!  I see all of these success stories and pray they aren't just gimmicks. Anyways I'm 5'4 and currently weigh 173 lbs and would like to get back down to 140. I hope this works.

    Hi Brandy3,

You will do just fine! My only suggestion is to keep track of your fat grams so you don't experience the treatment effects. I have a long road ahead, but I think I'm off to a good start. I wish you much success and don't worry, you will reach your goal.

    Hi Mac,

The Alli plan does work, but the results will take some effort on your part as well. You will have to watch your fat intake and consume no more than 15 grams of fat per meal. If you follow-thru with the plan then you will soon see results. I wish you the best in your weight loss goal.

    Re: Post Your Stats

Hi everyone, Jen here and finally going strong!!  I started out in November last year and was only consistent for about a month.  Frustrating!!!  Until the middle of March I was on and off and of course, my weight was up and down.  Beginning of March I hit my "low" and the most I have ever weighed...266.  I vowed I was not going to get any higher so I started back up.  I started to "veer" and lose focus.  In April I saw my doctor and got the motivation I needed, I was borderline diabetic.  No way, I am 35 years old and it wasn't happening to me.  So here are my stats and I am really excited.  By the way, I have been using Alli for all my meals and I am back on focus.

    Starting weight:  266

    Weigh-In today:  244

I am excited!!  I have a medium-build but I am only 5'4" so the weight is really dragging me down, literally!!  I have been losing it here and there on my body.  I have noticed my clothes fitting better and I went down 1 pants size so far!!  Actually I can almost make it into the next size.  I believe I can do it, just knowing I want this and I want to be healthier!!  I want to be able to have fun with my kids this summer without "passing out"!!  Good luck to everyone and YOU CAN DO IT!!!

You are doing well.  I am only on my second day and guess what?  I forgot my pills at home today!!!!  I really have to get used to having them on me at all times.  You have inspired me and I hope to have some wonderful results like you.  Tonight I plan to get back on the program and make sure I stay on it.  Good Work!

    Re: Post Your Stats

I have started Alli today and I am very excited, but nervous as well.  Over the past year I lost 30lbs through exercise and eating "better" and I have kept it off, but I became less motivated in the winter months.  Now, I am ready to jump back on board.  I am 5'8 and 250lbs.  I wear a size 18 (finally!  I was at a very tight size 20 for a while there!) and my goal is to wear a size 12 or 10.  I'm fine with curvy, it's flabby that bothers me!

I truly believe this will give me the edge I need because my main problem is snacking on JUNK!  However, I would not risk a TE for anything, especially not a little snack, so I am praying that being mindful of what I eat will forever change my bad habits.

Hopefully next week I will have good stats to report!

    Weight a year ago: 275+

    CW: 250

    GW: 160

I can do all things through Christ who strengthens me!

    Re: Post Your Stats

It sounds like you already have the displine if you lost the weight just by exercising and eating right. I think you will do very well on Alli. I didn't lose any on last week when I weighed on yesterday, but I did not exercise and I cheated a little. I am back on track this week so I need to see some results by next Sunday.:)

I wish you success with reaching your goal weight and keep us posted on your progress.

    Re: Post Your Stats

    Hi Tybrown,

Thank you...it has been a hard road!!  I am glad for the inspiration!!  I am "mentally" in the zone for losing the weight so that is helping a lot.  This whole program is giving me a different focus and a different way looking at what I should be eating.  The best thing that keeps me going is I don't need the food constantly.  I can eat my meals and good snacks, but not so much.  I use a smaller plate for meals, which really makes me focus on what I choose to eat.  I know that this can't fit if I have too much of this or that.  I just feel better and that is another motivation.  Good luck with your weight loss and yes, we can support each other in this journey.

     Jen
