Hi Rabbit4me...sounds like you don't have as much weight to loose as I do! GREAT! :-) Even though I'm overweight, I actually stay pretty active. Because of that, I'm on the 1800cal/19gr targets. I don't know if I can get used to eating all this food! I'm eating better, but it's still a lot. Adjusting my mornings and afternoons has been a struggle but I'm doing it. And I'm not going near the scale until I'm suppose to. I just want to see how this really works. The Slim-Fast with a meal may be an option for me though. Thanks for the info.
Your message had me in tears this morning. Don't feel bad, that happens a lot lately. My son, all of 17, graduated high school early, enlisted and shipped out on 11/26/07. He's finishing his MOS school, which is infanty God bless him, on 5/6/08. What a journey it has been so far. My father served in Vietnam through the Army and my brother had eight years in the Navy. Twenty years?! That's wonderful. Please tell your brother thank you...thank you for his sacrficies and services. Our country is so very fortunate to have young men like him. And may your father rest in peace. War time or not, the fact that they serve knowing the possibilities makes each and every one of them special! Thank you for your continued support of our troops!
On a lighter note, when my son came home from boot camp, he left me his go-fasters (that's Marine for tennis shoes) and his head brush (the brush used to scrub the bathroom-gross). The brush is so precious though because the top is wooden and he wrote little motivational notes in marker. He wrote his platoon number, the day he received his PFC promotion, "One shot, one kill", little things like that. Well, I put that brush and those go-fasters on a shelf in THE treadmill room. When I got on last night, I so didn't want to walk and kept telling myself "you can stop now...no one will know!" Then I'd look up and see those go-fasters and say "NO...the least you can do is finish 30 minutes. For all the sacrifices my son is making, I can make this small sacrifice and loose some weight!" I'm sure he'd laugh if he knew his old worn out go-fasters and nasty head brush were responsible for helping me loose weight! Whatever works right?
Please keep us posted on your success! Best wishes...
