    Re: 100-calorie packs

I must agree with jenalys here.  I know we all have our own goals and that may be why I'm not a big fan of any of the highly processed foods out there.  My goal is to eat healthier to BE healthier.  It may just be easier for me to do without junk food, however low the calories, because that wasn't a real problem for me.

I think for me, snacks of fresh fruit or veggies bagged up several portions at a time, and having a low-fat ranch or mustard dip (a very little goes a long way) is going to work much better.  I am watching more than calories and fat - I'm monitoring my nutrients and trying to focus on that (I entered my goals on fitday.com which helps me "report in" on such things).  What do I do when I MUST have something sweet?  1 peppermint patty feels like a splurge to me - and I can have just one!

These are very good ideas.....I tend to focus on the weight loss element and not the healthy part.

Along those same lines, the kids and I like the quaker mini delights 90 calorie pack cinnamon streusel and chocolate drizzle mini rice cakes. I use them for my dessert or if I am hungry while cooking after work and need a quick fix. They are 3.5 gms of fat per 1 pkg but worth it!-----Enjoy, Rita
