Hey Elia:
Thanks for asking about the horses. I tried to go back and answer it on the other post, but as I was the last one to post I was not allowed to post again consecutively. This must be a new rule. Anyway, I hope you see the answer on this post. I know you come here often to check on Kimberley if she hasn't posted on the other one. The baby filly is doing great. We now have 3 horses racing. Our one colt won a race Wednesday and the 3 year old filly won last week. She races again today and we're hoping she does well. The 2 year old filly has her very first race next week. It is her first start and she drew a bad pole position, 10th spot, if you know what that means. But she has a lot of spunk and might do well in spite of the odds. The other horses in this race have all had 3-4 starts so far, so she is the 'greenie' of the bunch. But her trainer put her in this race so we're assuming he thinks she is ready and able to stand up to the competition. But I'm thinking, "Poor baby, her first race and she has a bad start position and the other horses have more experience than she does.) But she has to start sometime, somewhere. Whenever she sees me she lays her head on my shoulder and snuggles against my neck, so you know I love her. When she first started doing this she had to reach up to get to my shoulder, now she has to lean down. Now, the 3 year old filly loves my husband and actually doesn't like it if he holds my hand or hugs me in front of her. She is gentle and would never hurt me, but she 'snubs' me if she seems him being affectionate to me. She thinks she is supposed to get all of his attention. If we walk out to the barn hand in hand, she will come to him but turn away from me. So funny. Oh, look what you did, Elia. You got me to talking about the horses! I'll shut up now.
