Okay, I guess I'm going to dig my own grave by saying this.....my point is I can get a copper metal under my name if I post a simple "hi" to every alli member on the message board. If this type of recognition is to generate more people posting messages......then I guess metals/badges will work. I just think that the goal of the message board is to get and give useful information about the Alli program, support one another and inspire others.
I really love the Alli program and what it has done for me. I have never had so much success with weight loss than I have with Alli.....even though I'm currently having a difficult time losing weight. Sometimes, I sound like a walking commercial for Alli! Family members roll their eyes when I get on the topic of Alli.....but they know it works from my weight loss since August.
Maybe, I'm taking the badges/metal recognition a little too serious. Yet, when anything becomes competitive, I back off or lose interest. Losing weight is a serious matter for me.....because it's about my health. I really want to be successful with the Alli program. I also want to get down to a normal weight. I want this to be the last time in my life that I'm considered obese! Each day and each month that goes by, I feel that I am making weight loss permanent and a lifestyle. I would like to lose a total of 75 pounds. I'm almost halfway to my goal weight and yet, I have been struggling. When I first started Alli, weight loss was a breeze. Now I'm really battling the bulge and my thoughts of old food habits.....thankfully Alli treatments exist....to keep from eating what I shouldn't eat! (Isn't it funny that some newbies are so fearful of Alli treatments and I'm so grateful that there is a consequence to eating foods high in fat!) Oh well...
Getting back to badges/metals.....can someone tell me why they are given?
