    Chicken/Turkey Wraps

This is one of my fave meals for lunch or on the go.

---2 tortillas - (I get the carb balance whole wheat tortilla shells - or any other with whole grain & low fat)

---2 ounces of sliced turkey or chicken (be careful and watch the sodium)

    ---chopped red onion

    ---baby spinach

Place inside each tortilla one ounce of meat, red onion, and spinach - then "wrap up".  I usually stuff it with spinach, and use extra onion (the spicier a dish is, the more stidfied I am.)  Sometimes I add mushrooms or other fresh veggies.  I usually eat baby carrots on the side.

As for the nutritional data, it depends upon what kind of tortillas & meat you get - but if you stick to whole grain tortillas & low fat/sodium meat, it will be low on fat & calories.

     Blessings,

    BethAlice

    Re: Chicken/Turkey Wraps

Have you tried the Flatout (Light) wraps? They are only 90 calories/2.5 grams of fat. I like:

Turkey, red-fat swiss, lettuce, red wine vinagrette dressing

Ham, red-fat cheddar cheese, lite mayo, lettuce

Cut up leftover chicken, lettuce, parmesan cheese shreads, lite ceasar dressing

I usually have 100 calorie pringles with the wrap and its still under 400 calories! I have to add more food to meet my calorie goals.

There are so many combos and a real filling meal!
