Support for life after the freshman 30, oh and the sophmore 15!!!!!!

    Hello everyone,

My name is vinneamo and i just recently completed my second year in college. Along with the great grades on my transcript i earned the weight that comes along with them. (yikes) so what do i do from here? well  i just turned 20 and i come in weighing a whopping 180lbs.!!!!! I have had weight problems all my life but ive never done anything about it. I always thought it was "cute" to have a little extra meat on my bones, but now im officially unhealthy. This is my third day on the alli diet and it gets better as my body tries to adjust to it. I feel extremely positive about the battle of the bulge and hope that any one reading this can give and receive encouragement from this thread. You dont have to have gained the freshman 30 to be encouraged....hec you dont even have to have gone to college to benefit from this thread. The main point is we have a battle ladies, its us against the world. And we can do it.

Happy living healthy ladies : )

    sw----181

    cw----180

gw----130 (so i have a little wiggle room)

Welcome to the boards. As I'm sure you've seen the support here is great. Stick to the plan and the weight will definately come off, at some times slow, but it does come off. Good luck. We have the same goal weight and if I can stick to it anyone else can. My starting weight was 188 :( ... I'm down to 170 and hope to get to 130.

sw 188 cw 169 gw 130 by July 25 39 more to go!!!!

Thanks so much i really appreciate it. I think im goin to invest in a treadmill to increase my activity. I started the pill today and i havent had any TE as of yet, but ive been sticking to my fat intake just to avoid any embarassing moments. But i do wonder when i stop taking alli and reach my goal weight will i be able to keep that weight withou tthe pills?(provided that i stick to my activity level and diet)
