    Soy

    Greetings, Esteemed Moderators ---

I am incorporating raw (thawed from frozen) Soybeans into my diet. Good idea? I hope so, and this may help many others who are trying to eat healthy. I just pop open each soybean husk, drop the soybeans into a bowl until I have 1 cup, & eat them.

1 cup of Soybeans (from their Nutrition Label) have -->  120 calories, 3.5 g. Total Fat, NO Trans-, Saturated Fat, NOR cholesterol (unlike meats), 2.1 g. Dietary Fiber, and 12.1 g. Protein, making it, I believe, the highest quality & amount of protein of any vegetarian food item. Your opinion?

Even without gelatin, my diet has much more "wiggle room", now.

    Re: Soy

    Hi EcoChevy,

Soy beans are an excellent food - full of vitamins, minerals, protein and antioxidants!  I usually recommend steaming them for a few minutes so you can chew them and digest them better.  hey are delicious steamed or when added to your favorite dish.  Some people may toterate them raw and enjoy them without having any digestion issues.

Let us know if you have any further questions,
