Any one use Urband Rebounder/ mini trampolines?

I purchased an urband rebounder about a month ago and have been using it about 3 times a week about 25-30 min. I have been reading up alot about all its health benefits and that it helps you to tone up and lose weight, but I was wondering if anyone had actually used this program and lost any weight doing so.

So far I haven't lost anything, because I haven't been taking my Ali pills right, but as of today 4-16-08 I am starting a new!!!  I am going to take my pill with every meal, and also I am going to jump on my urban rebounder and do my eliptical 3 times a week.  So we will see:)

When the weather was still really bad (snowing) I used to use my mini jogger all of the time. The first time I got on it, i could barely do 5 minutes, as it uses muscles that we're not used to using. but now, when I do get on it, I do 30 min straight and it's great! Good luck with yours!!

Oh this sounds wonderful!  I think I will get one.  Then I could get some exercise while I was in front of the tv.  I am getting a little board and my jumproping isn't lasting too long.  Thanks for the idea.

I had one years ago, and loved it.  Last week I was pet sitting for a family that had a huge above the ground tampoline.  I was scared to jump on it at first, but then started jogging around it.  What fun!  and a great workout.  I didnt do any of the fancy stuff or jump into the air though.  I would have hurt myself for sure.   But I might go out and get another mini.

Rebecca, let me know how you do! I love mine and glad that I have it for backup when the weather is nasty, like it's going to be this weekend. We're expecting snow here in NW Montana - hope it doesn't dump too much, we're just now getting everything to melt from the winter!!!

Re: Any one use Urband Rebounder/ mini trampolines?

I love mine too! It is such a good workout, its unbelivable. I got the Urband Rebounder that comes with the 3 dvd's first timmers, begginer, and imtermediate. I could barely get through the begginer!! I really works your legs, thighs, calfs and midsection. And I did a little resarch on google about the benefits of rebounding and they are limitless!! I was so impressed. They said just 5 min of bouncing can make your lymph system move better and get you healthier, decrease cellulite and slow aging!! I encourage everyone to just google rebound exercise and read up on all of the wonderful benefits of this exercise. Its really exciting!

If anyone has had any sucess stories with rebounding PLEASE post, I would love to see how much weight you lost using this, if any, and how long it took. My main exercise is the rebounder and the elliptical and thats it, so I will keep everyone posted on my success.

Re: Any one use Urband Rebounder/ mini trampolines?

I scored a mini trampoline at a yard sale last week for $2.00. I didn't realize I have a goldmine sitting in the house for exercise wealth!

What kind of exercise do you all do on it? Do you jog, just bounce or ??

I go to the gym at least 4 times a week now, but could easily add the rebounder/tramp in on the weekends or in the evenings.

Re: Any one use Urband Rebounder/ mini trampolines?

I jog on mine. Most of the time its a steady pace, but I do pick it up upon occasion. I also do a "wide jog" works the outer parts of the hip area (like sidestepping in WATP videos).

$2.00?! Man were you blessed or what?! that is just awsome! Hope you have fun on yours!

Re: Any one use Urband Rebounder/ mini trampolines?

    Hi,

I purchased a mini-trampoline before I started alli, knowing the hot summer here in Texas was coming, and I would rather work-out in the air-conditioning.

I happened to see on the Ellen Degeneres show, that they had someone on that wore a plastic excersise suit on while jumping strait up and down on a mini-trampoline, and said that NASA had shown that doing that for just 10 minutes allowed you to burn alot of calories (alot faster than running or Aerobics).

I know implement that into my work-out to get my heart-rate up and it is low impact on my joints.

I would sugest trying one, I found one at Walmart for less than $20.00.

     good luck,

    Trish

Hi, I have never had weight issues until recently, and I attribute it to age as the metabolism slows. I don't eat alot of fattening foods, so I haven't had the bad side effects that some are experiencing.

Re: Any one use Urband Rebounder/ mini trampolines?

    Hi all!

I've had one for some time now and I love to use it while playing 70's disco or Madonna! I also use it as a tool when i do circuit-cardio training:

    20min Precor Stairclimber
    15min Treadmill
    10min Mini Trampoline
    15 min Elliptical

The 60min goes by REALLY quickly if you change up your cardio machines and listen to music you love!

p.s. B3 sure to check your springs routienly to see that they are secure!

Re: Any one use Urband Rebounder/ mini trampolines?

I have one, but have to admit that I seldom use it. I know that when I did, the edema in my feet and ankles much improved. I guess it's time to dust it off again.  Especially, if, as someone here stated, ten minutes of it is enough. I have very bad ankles, and it is a bit hard on them, or at least, I worry about hurting them (paranoid me!)
