    Coke Cake?

I am hearing everyone rave about a Coke Cake?? I have scrolled through the posts looking for the recipe- because it combines two of my favorites: coke and cake! Would someone post it again? It would be much appreciated!

    Re: Coke Cake?

    Hi~

There are many variations but this might help.   It doesn't rise as high as a regular cake.  You can also make them as cupcakes or in a mini-muffin pan.  Enjoy!

    - Diet Coke Cake

    1 cake mix (any kind)
1 can Diet Coke (Diet Pepsi)
    2 egg whites

Mix together the cake mix, two egg whites and a can of Diet Coke. Actually try 10-12oz and see what works best for you. Pour into pan sprayed with baking spray. The eggs make the cake a little lighter in texture.  Most folks say follow baking times on the cake mix. However, I've found this type of cake bakes much quicker for me. Start checking it about 10 minutes before the box suggests.

    Possibilities:
    - - spice cake mix w/ diet orange
    - - yellow cake mix w/ sprite
    - - Banana cake mix w/ diet root beer
    - - lemon cake mix w/ diet 7-up
    - - Chocolate cake w/ Diet coke
    - - Lemon cake w/ Diet ginger ale
    - - orange cake w/diet Mountain Dew
    - - cherry chip cake w/ A& W diet Cream
    - - Lemon cake w/ Diet Lemon lime
    - - angel w/ Diet Orange
    - - White w/ Diet Orange
    - - yellow cake w/ Diet orange
    - - white cake w/ Diet Peach
    - - spice cake w/ diet lemon-lime
    - - White w/ diet ginger ale
    - - chocolate cake w/ Diet cherry coke
    - - devils food w/ diet vanilla coke
    - - chocolate cake w/ rootbeer
    - - marble cake w/ diet cream soda
    - - lemon with tangerine diet rite
    - - white cake mix w/ diet sprite
    - - Red Velvet w/ Diet Cherry Vanilla Dr Pepper
    - - Banana cake w/ diet root beer
    - - Pineapple cake w/ diet Squirt

    Re: Coke Cake?

sounds delicious I'm going to make that this evening and I hope it comes out great.

married no kids I started putting on weight after I was on seizure medicine from 1996-2002. Once they took me off the steriod meds the weight just stayed and lingered. I exercise and watched what I eat but it seems like when I turned 30 the weight gain came back. Me and my husband eat out way too much and thats when I started taking ALLI in the fall of 2007 and just restarted taking it again . Anthis time Iam focused and disciplined and not going to let lifes stress make me over eat and etc.

    Re: Coke Cake?

I told a friend about this and she wants to know if anyone has tried it with sugar free cake mix?  She's diabetic.  Any tips would be helpful!

    Re: Coke Cake?

I have tried it with both sugar free and reduced sugar mixes.  I have found that they are both very good.  I add one egg beater to help hold it together, (sometimes) but yes it works.

    Re: Coke Cake?

    Hi Rita,

The calories and fat are calculated according to the nutritional info. on the cake mix you are using.   They are all a little different.  You can also make the mix in mini muffin pans for less calories per serving.

    Re: Coke Cake?

Just use the nutrition information for the "dry mix" on the box.  If your number of servings are the same then you have it.  If you have smaller serving sizes you will need to do a little math.

    Re: Coke Cake?

It also works with a homemade cake recipe.  Omit the oil and other liquids.  I mix the dry ingredients together and then add the diet soda.

    I don't buy cake mixes.

    Re: Coke Cake?

This was sooo yummy. I used Strawberry cake mix and diet raspberry soda. With some light whip cream...everyone loved them!
