    Healthy Thai??

Hi everyone!  I am new to the Alli program...started 2 days ago and doing great.  Tonight my in-laws are visiting and have asked that we go to a local Thai restaurant.  Are there any healthy/low fat choices on a Thai menu?  I would greatly appreciate some guidance!!! Thanks!

    Re: Healthy Thai??

    hi coquiancove!

I work @ a pharmacy myself and just asked my pharmacists about healthy thai food. They highly recommended Chicken Basil / Lemon grass with RICE not noodles as they tend to pan fry noodles. If possible, ask for brown rice instead.

    Re: Healthy Thai??

Take a look at the Healthy Eating Guide included in the Starter Kit.  The last section is listings of the better choices in a variety of ethnic cuisines.

Check the cookbook section of your local library for Thai and/or low-fat cookbooks.  Some provide nutrition information of each recipe to make your meal planning easier.

    I hope this helps.
