    What should I do?

I am having a problem with breakfast.  Normally I don't eat a large breakfast, and now that I am following the program, I am eating much more in order to reach enough fat to take alli.  Am I better off eating a smaller breakfast and skipping the first dose of the day or should I continue to eat a larger breakfast and take the dose?

    Re: What should I do?

I'm not a big breakfast eater either, but there are a few things you can use to up your fat content...peanut butter on an English muffin or multi-grain waffles, cheese, nuts sprinkled over oatmeal, etc. They're not all that big, but they'll add the fat grams to help you hit your target. I hope this helps.

    Re: What should I do?

That's exactly what I've done.  I love having a waffle with 1/2 tbsp of peanutbutter and 1/4 of a sliced banana on top.  But that's more than I am used to.  In the past all of my dieting has been with 6 mini-meals of 250 calories a day.  So now, I am trying to get used to the idea that I can have more calories at one time but fewer times each day.  And for the most part I am doing okay, but I can't help but feel like if I were to cut back on the amount I am consuming at breakfast I might loose more weight.  But I could be totally wrong.  I could be doing okay with the rest of the day because of the extra fuel in th AM.   But I do love my waffles and PB!

    Re: What should I do?

I have the same problem you have had with getting used to the idea of consuming a meal with more calories at breakfast. Most of the time in the morning, I have a coffee with two sugars on the way to work, and that is it. I have stopped at Mac Donald's a few times to pick up their yogurt and it is pretty good. I am not usually that hungry during the day. It is at night when I have the problem..... hence, the fourteen pounds I have gained in the past four months.

That's my current breakfast of choice too. It's hard to change the way we think and  realize that this is not a "diet" like we're used to. Truth is, it's better to eat a bigger breakfast and a smaller dinner for 2 reasons. 1 - It helps you feel fuller during the day so that you won't be as tempted to overeat, and 2 - You have the whole day to burn it off as opposed to having a big dinner and going to bed 3 hours later.  You're doing a good job, and the fact that you are asking questions shows you are willing to learn and change.  That was the biggest step for me.  Anyhow, keep up the good work.
