Refills NOT available=> have to pay for books NOT needed/wanted.

I live in rural Noble Co, Ohio and have been using Alli since July 2007.  The first starter kit was OK, but I have purchased Alli several times since then from Wal-Mart and Sam's Club and there are NO refills available; they have only Starter Kits, which includes paying for books and plastic boxes  not needed or wanted anymore.  This adds to the cost of the capsules, and is very frustrating.  I was also down in Maryland in April, 2008 at Giant Food and they too had only Starter Kits available.

Why aren't the refill kits available and at a lower cost???  What's going on?

I have noticed the same thing here in NC.  I have been forced to buy the starter to avoid paying the outrageous price charged for the refill at the drugstore.  I am considering ordering on line.

If Walmart in your area doesn't carry the refills, request they order them in from the pharmacist.

    Target carries refills too.

Also, you can get some great deals on Ebay - either via auction or Ebay express.

The starter kit at Sams is actually a better price, at least here in Calif.  150 pills are 63.33, and the 90 count at Target or Walgreens is 59.99.  So you are getting a better deal even with the books and boxes.

Just a thought..... received by refill from Amazon.com and got free shipping along with it. I paid $53.99 for 120 capsules.

    Hope this helps!

    Hi,

You probably know this all ready but I bought a refill from Target & it was £59.99 for a 40 day pack.

Can you also buy refills on-line as I actually live in England & bought the tablets while I was on holiday visiting my friend?

Re: Refills NOT available=> have to pay for books NOT needed/wanted.

    Hi PooBear,

I too live in Europe (Paris - France) and have purchased my Starter pack at Wal-mart back in July 2007 when I was visiting the USA. I have just ordered a 120 ct. refill pack from Amazon.com for $45.86 with the Subscription option. The 90 ct. refill pack only cost $36.45 with the Subscription option.

I read on another thread in this forum that some members are having difficulty to find/buy refill packs. Amazon.com even offers the 240 and the 360 ct. refill packs. Considering we would be using our Alli for a long while, why not subscribe for it and get a discount (15% less)? Simply create a free account with Amazon.com and apply for the subscription option for the stuff you use and need every month.

Amazon.com is actually one of the Sellers offering Alli online. I do not like to buy Vitamins and Supplements on eBay. Amazon.com allows you to buy the amount of pills you want for your refill and to pick your automatic reordering periods: either on a monthly, every 2 months, 3 months or 6 months basis.

The shipping is free when delivered in the USA nationwide; not sure if they ship outside the USA and how much it would cost. Personally, I perform 70% of my shopping and merchandise ordering online; so I opened a “Mail Box Etc.” account (like the UPS Store) in California and they have been receiving all my online orders and forwarding them to me in Paris.

    Hope this helps.

Re: Refills NOT available=> have to pay for books NOT needed/wanted.

It's not that Alli doesn't provide refills, it's that some stores are not carrying the refills.

Any of the stores, Walmart, Target, etc WILL order them for you if they don't inventory them.

Just have to ask the manager or customer service.
