Has anyone tried "Turbo Jam" videos?

I saw these videos advertised on tv last night and I keep thinking they look like a fun work out, has anyone tried them? If so what did you think? They are a dance based workout, and it looks like there would be alot of core toning and strengthening.

    Thanks

Re: Has anyone tried "Turbo Jam" videos?

my videos came on Tuesday I broke right into it! They are fun, I feel a bit clumbsy with some of the moves but, as soon as I get them I think I will quit thinking so much and just go at it! I sure do sweat and I sure do feel it! Been doing them in the afternoons while my youngest naps:)

Re: Has anyone tried "Turbo Jam" videos?

I have been doing these for the last 3 weeks. I love Chalene, she is very positive and fun! There is a girl on there named Anna Rita who is Chalene's friend and has lost over 70 lbs. She is my inspiration! These are really fun workouts to do. I need to get the other Cardio parties because I need some new music to jam to. I have lost alot of inches since I have been doing these and even have seen and felt muscles I never knew I had before!

We should make a Turbo Jam support group!

Re: Has anyone tried "Turbo Jam" videos?

I have been doing these like 5 days a weeks for just over a week, the thing I am really liking is that they are just easy to move to, the moves are easy to modify to fit your capabilities, and I agree Charleene is very encouraging! So far I am not sure about the inches thing but I do feel more limber and I feel the muscles I didn't know I had :) I would very much recomend these to others! I am having a blast with them!

Re: Has anyone tried "Turbo Jam" videos?

I purchased the TURBO JAM videos and spent $150 for all of them but I have not really had time to use them lately. I used my videos about 10 times since I've purchased them.  I need some support with getting back into the exercise groove... can anyone here help me? How about some type of challenge after everyone gets their videos?

Re: Has anyone tried "Turbo Jam" videos?

I got mine! I'm in! How you want to do this? I check in on Fridays...you? Once I started on mine and started feeling like I wasn't built with 2 left feet, I actually started to look foward to "my time" each day! I use them when my youngest kiddo is taking her nap, I love how that leaves me even some time to spare:)

Re: Has anyone tried "Turbo Jam" videos?

I have been doing turbo jam for 2 months and lost 25 lbs., without alli or a low fat diet Its a great cardio workout that alternates high and low impact. I highly recommend it. I have an 8 month old daughter and she loves watching me do the kickboxing moves. Turbo jam is definetly worth the money you will see results.

Re: Has anyone tried "Turbo Jam" videos?

25 lbs without a diet is pretty amazing, but I see how, the workouts use every bit of energy I have while at the same time energizing me if that makes any sense. I am loving it! I have been doing them for just a few weeks now and I am not seeing huge lbs lost but I am noticing my stamina, energy, mood and waistline all improving! I love the way my arms and legs are feeling toned too! Keep it up and have fun!

Re: Has anyone tried "Turbo Jam" videos?

I'm glad I found this thread.  I have only done the Turbo Jam dvd once (last Monday) and I felt like a truck had hit me for three days afterwards LOL!  I did love the music and enjoy the easy moves!  I will try to do it more than just 1x this week :-)

I also run on Mon, Wed, & Fri's and I ran right after I did Turbo Jam, so maybe that is why I felt so bad LOL!

Re: Has anyone tried "Turbo Jam" videos?

They do get easier on your body once your muscles get used to being used!:) And I noticed you really do gain flexability and each time I push myself a little harder, don't want it too easy or why bother doing it, right? Have fun!

Re: Has anyone tried "Turbo Jam" videos?

Okay, today was the 2nd time I've done Turbo Jam, I think I enjoyed it more this time around and it was easier for me to get the hang of things.....I'll know for sure tomorrow when I wake up LOL!!!  I hope I do gain flexability while doing it, that is something I NEED!

Re: Has anyone tried "Turbo Jam" videos?

Ahhh!! I LOVE Turbo Jam!! Since maybe September of 07' I've lost 27 pounds and that's the only exercise besides walking that I do. They're fun. With some other videos the instructor is kind of awkward toward the group but Chalene's definitely not, she's so perky she makes the whole round fun. They've come out with new ones since I bought mine though so I'll have to order the newer ones eventually.

Re: Has anyone tried "Turbo Jam" videos?

I ordered one of the newer ones from Amazon for 9.95 and got it yesterday.  I did it for the 1st time as soon as I got home from work, and really liked it.  Chalene keeps you motivated, and the moves are not hard to do, but you really get a great workout.  I just got Core Rythms too, which is fun, and the choreography (sp) gets easier each time you do it.  These are great for me when I am pet sitting, away from home, and cant get to the gym.  Now I just need to get a DVD player for home :  )  I think I am home for a week in July.
