Blazer, I know EXACTLY how you feel. I am extrememly impatient when it comes to pretty much everything, especially weight-loss. I started back in December, then went off it for a few months because I was away at school and gave into the temptations of the fatty easily available food in the cafeteria there. Now, I'm home for the summer and starting the alli plan again, but my first week didn't go so well. Like you, I wanted to see results fast, and when I couldn't see a difference after even 2 days, I drown my sorrow with food as well. Normally, this setback would upset me so much that I would give up for a while, but I am determined to make this time different. I gained a pound my first week, but I am not going to let that hold me back!
I have figured out a few things to help me stay on track. First, I write in the online journal everyday and I am completely honest, even if I mess up. I record my accomplishments and setbacks each day as well as how I felt. Doing this really helps me recognize why I cheat on my diet or excercise plan in which case I can change that habbit. Second, I have really gotten into cooking lately, now that I'm home. I live with my parents and younger brother, and they love it! They're very health-conscious people, so they love when I cook new and interesting healthy meals for the family, which makes me feel better about myself. Lastly, instead of working out just to lose weight, I have been focusing on the other benefits of excercise like getting myself back in shape.
I hope some of this stuff helps you too! Remember just keep going with the plan even if you mess up! Setbacks are always going to happen, it's how you respond to them that makes all the difference!
