    Newbee...scared to fail ):

I just picked up a starter kit today at Kroger.  I am really scared to fail at yet another diet!  Last March I began LA Weight Loss and lost 38.  I don't know what happen, nor when, but all I know is that I have gained all put 2 pounds back!!  It seems as if the weight came back in a week!

I don't really know if I was so happy that I was down 2 pants sizes I stopped working out as much, and veered away from portion control.  Maybe it was my job change ( I tend to allow changes, events, emotions, etc. control my eating habits).  I feel defeated, but I'm going to try again.  I am really going to need some encouragement.  My plan is to, this time, make this a lifestyle change versus a short-term plan.

    I need you ladies!!

Alli does work, it is slow (about a pound a week) but it really works!  plus you have all of us on the board for support!

Good luck to you.............  I'm pretty new to this too.  Almost 3 weeks into it and I've gotten down on myself a few times but I keep coming back and reading posts from long time users and it really gives me strength and motivation to keep going.

Keep us posted on how you do!

You won't fail this time if you are committed to making a lifestyle change.  That is what Alli is all about.  It teaches you how to eat healthy so that once you lose the weight it will be gone forever.  You can find all of the encouragement and support you need on the message boards. I would advise you to read them often and post also so you will come to know some of the other people who are on this journey with you.  Be realistic and realize that it will take time to reach your goal on this program, but by the time you reach it you will have a different attitude toward food which will enable you to keep the weight off.  I wish you well.

    Thanks All!

I appreciate everyone's comments!! I really think this time will work.  I am tired of being tired of this battle of the bulge!  I will be actually starting Monday.  This weekend instead of eating everything I see (like I used to prior to "I'll start on Monday"),  I will start eating healthy to get my body prepared for alli.  Would you all suggest I wear a panty liner the first week? Thanks again!

    God Bless!!

As you are going to eat healthy a few days before taking the Alli I don't think it will really be necessary to wear a panty liner.  But having said that, it is hard to know for sure how much fat is in your system when you pop that first pill.  If it will make you feel more secure it won't hurt to wear one.  I had TEs when I first started Alli and I wore them for 2 weeks 'just in case.'   You might be gassy at first, some people are as their bodies adjust to the Alli and to the new way of eating.  When you pass gas you may also pass some of the orange oil which is the excess fat in your body.  Not everybody does, but if you do public work you might want to wear a liner just as a safeguard.  If nothing else it might make you feel more confident.  I would buy the extra long ones because you need to position them toward your rear.  I don't think you have anything to worry about but it never hurts to be prepared.
