darlinsis:I have been on Alli for 10months and have lost 71lbs. I have 48lbs to go for goal. I'm just having a hard time with this last bit of weight. This week I gained 2 lbs and I'm just ticked off. Last week I was so good, I even dropped some of the calories cause I think I'm at that point to lower my calories and fat. Now I'm on 1800cal and 19g of fat. I have been drinking my water religously,my exercise however, has slipped I have a bum knee and it keeps going out on me. Help me what do I do? I've been doing so well for so long and just need to jump start this weight loss again. I feel like throwing up my hands and saying forget about it, it doesn't work anymore. Should I go off the pill and then restart a week later or what? I'm just at a loss. Thank you for being here to support all of us, you guys always do such a good job.
Thank You,
Angie

You ARE an inspiration to everyone -- as has already been said! You've done such a great job that the last thing you want to do is give up. Keep in mind that the last bit of weight is always the hardest, but it will come.
First, go to the Fitness Specialists message board as tell them your exercise routine and ask for substitutes while your knee heals. They are terrific and I know they'll have some good tips.
I'm not in favor of dropping calories and fat until you get that message in the check-in. Dropping too early will only slow you down more in the long run. After 71 pounds you should have already gotten a change.
Next start to weigh and measure everything you eat and drink for a week. After a while we all get complacent and it's easy to have extra calories slip in here and there, and the next thing there's a weight gain.
I recommend that folks not weigh more than twice a week. It will drive you nuts! When there's a gain it's often due to a little water retention (hormones, salty foods, etc.), AND it could be masking a true weight loss.
Definitely stay on the capsules. Be vigilant about completing the Nutrition and Activity Logs each day; and do the food & beverage weighing/measuring. There's no predicting how long this will last. And, though it's easier said than done, patience is the best strategy right now.
Please let me know if you need anything else.
