    great breakfast

I eat, IMHO, the best breakfast ever:

bowl of Fiber 1 cereal with honey clusters

1 container of Dannon Light and Fit yogurt mixed into the cereal (no fat-free milk - I save that for a latte as a mid-morning break)

cut fruit (strawberries or blueberries or peaches - fruit to match yogurt flavor)

280 calories, 2 grams of fat, 13 grams of fiber (wow), taste - priceless.

    Re: great breakfast

that doesnt sound like enough fat.....In order to maximize Alli you need to get your recommended fat grams each meal. I had trouble in the beginning with breakfast, but now I have a routine for Mon-Fri. I grab 2 packets of instant oatmeal(my fav kind is banana bread), I put a Tablespoon and a half of natural peanut butter & a mashed banana in the bowl. Pour some hot water over the top, mix and enjoy. I don't know the caloric value off hand but I know the fat grams = 13g.....I usually put a teaspoon of benefiber on it also to bulk up the fiber value. Good Luck, Jennifer

    Re: great breakfast

I am noticing all of these great breakfast ideas, but also noticing how low the fat content is in most of them ex:1-2 grams.  I assume that one is not taking Alli with breakfasts with less than 5 grams of fat.  As I read one should not take Alli with food under 5 grams of fat.  Please correct me if I'm wrong.

    Re: great breakfast

Hey Sab, Your right! the fat content on some of the breakfast ideas are too low. I think some people don't take an alli with breakfast, or any meal for that matter that is under 5 grams. I always eat 12-15g of fat with breakfast, simply because if i dont then I wont reach my recommended fat content for teh day. I don't understand how people get the recommended amount of fat without eating a fat-containing breakfast. If you look at the meals that alli preplans for us in our nutrition log it always has fats, even if its some yogurt, they always add fat with some sort of nut or peanut butter or something.....I used to eat a super light breakfast when I first started cuz I didnt' realize all the rules of the game. Now that I get it, I feel my weight loss is more consistant......for example, I lost 3 lbs since my check in on wednesday. I definitely realize how its important to reach your fat grams alloted daily. Good luck.

    Re: great breakfast

Hello All, I am new to Alli and the boards but wanted to throw in my breakfast favorite.

2 slices Turkey Bacon (6grams of fat), 1 slice wheat toast (1.5 g), 3 egg whites (0g) cooked in 1 tablespoon of olive oil (4.5g), 8 oz of Chocolate Soy Milk (3.5g), 1 1/4 cup diced watermelon (.2 g) = 15.7 grams of fat

This will help with the fat intake as well as adding to your protein and fruit intake.
