    Re: a race to live......july 4th challenge

    Hi Everybody!

Hey, I finally lost a pound!  Woo hoo!  Feeling good this week, but haven't exercised yet.  Just shipped my kids (13 & 16) to my father's for a good part of a month in Virginia!  Was frantic getting them ready and really busy at work.  My foot has been killing me, I'm not sure why, but it won't let up.  Advil helps, but I don't want to stress it out walking cuz I work on my feet (a hair stylist).  But it's a beautiful night, and I want to go for a nice walk with the dog.  I'll just take it slow.

I'm going to post about my favorite new snack!  Delish!

Hope everyone has a losing week!

    Re: a race to live......july 4th challenge

Welcome Kimberley....jolly..I'm joining the next challenge as I thought I would have reached my final goal by the end of June, but no go....lol. No loss from last Monday, still at 135. It's getting harder to lose as I am getting closer to my goal weight. Staying positive tho.....My mom is up here visiting from Florida this month..anxious to see her, haven't seen her since last July......Waiting to see her reaction when she see's me.....lol

Have a good week and stay positive............

    Re: a race to live......july 4th challenge

Okay, sorry I forgot to post Monday when I weighed-in.  But again, I didn't lose or gain.  So I'm proud to say that although I didn't lose the 10-15lbs I was hoping for by July 4th, I did lose 6. :)  If I can continue to lose 6 pounds a month I'd be satisfied.

    Re: a race to live......july 4th challenge

    Hey:

I dropped out of the July 4th challenge due to surgery, etc.  I couldn't exercise at all, was in a lot of pain for several weeks, and let everything fall by the wayside for awhile.  I'd like to join the new challenge as I am now much better.  I still can't do much exercise but at least I can move a little.  I am restricted to walking 1/2 mile a day outside.  No dreadmill or other exercise equipment for the time being.  I can do some strength training that doesn't involve walking, etc.  Any suggestion?  Anyone?
