    Snacks - When to eat?

I noticed on the meal plan that the snacks come after lunch. Is there a reason for this or can I have the snack before to hold me over til lunch?

    Thank you, ~ Surreal Raven

I found that Baskin Robbins Sugar Free Hard Candy in the Cookies and Creme flavor and the Pralines and Cream flavor are great for tiding over until noon.  I do not know the answer to your question, but this has been very effective for me.

I asked the Alli Dieticians about this because I'm not a snacker.  She said that snacks are very important because they keep you from eating everything in sight at meal time.  So the answer would be to have a snack during the period which is more of a stretch until meal time.  If you're hungry, and lunch is 2 hours away yet, have a healthy snack.

Dole has parfaits that are fat free and real tasty.  They come in peach, apple and caramel, and mandarin oranges with a creamy complement.  I love them and they are premeasured so you just get the one serving.  They help tide me over in the afternoons, too.
