    Hi Lynne,

    I don't do the full amount of fat per meal, per day because when I eat that much fat I get real sick.  I've been that way for the past 20 years.  Before I started alli and didn't care about how sick I would get from eating fat I would have to take my medication just to control my symptoms.  Now that I care about what I eat and the fact that I've dramatically reduced my fat intake I no longer need my medication...AND...I can eat and actually enjoy the food knowing full well I'm not going to get sick.  Yippee!

    My exercise is pretty simple.  I do a lot of walking every day, plus I do 30 minutes of low impact aerobics and 30 minutes of stretching.

    Don't forget, Lynne, that everyone's metabolism is different.  I used to have an extremely fast metabolism and have always been unweight.  My metabolism ultimately slowed down and I eventually got the "I don't care" attitude that that's what got me into weight trouble.  For myself, the harder I work out the quicker I lose the weight.

    Wow Patti your amazing!  I want to be able to lose that kind of weight! LOL!!  I'm on my 3rd week of Alli, I lost 4lbs the first week, and 1.5 lbs the 2nd week, but my loss has slowed alot and I figured it out I think.  I read up on "why you need to meet your calorie thread" and found the site to put in my stats for a maintenance caloric level.  Mine ended up being  2544 Calories/day. If I subtract 1000 per day to lose 2lbs a week that means I should only be consuming 1544 Calories daily at the MAX! ARGGGGG (that includes me exercising  3x a week)!!! Well, that is wonderful to know after I've been trying to eat up to 1800 calories a day LOL!!  See the first week I was only eating about 1400-1600 daily, well NO WONDER I lost so much!!!  I'm not suppose to be eating 1800!!!  LOL....now that I know that little bit of important information hopefully I can proceed to losing 2lbs a week. :-)  I think it's important that everyone look at that site and figure up their daily needs, instead of going off what the site automatically says their daily calories should be.
