    The daily Plate

I don't know if anyone has been to this website but its great and free!!  You record the food you have eaten and it breaks it down and tells you calories, fat grams, sodium, sugar, fiber, everything.  And it keeps track of what you have left to eat.  And it gives you alternatives to help lower calories and fat.  Everyday you pick out what food has the highest caolries or fat grams and try the alternative and before you know it your eating the healthest you can.

    Re: The daily Plate

I have tried thedailyplate.com and it is a wonderful resource! I haven't logged on in a while because after tracking your food for a few weeks, it will become easier to eat and know how many calories and how much fat is in the foods you eat on a regular basis.

    Re: The daily Plate

    Hi Tanaiya,

There are lots of sites out there that you can use to keep track of your food intake. I always recommend checking to see where the site gets their nutrition information. I went to the dailyplate site to find this out and here is what they have posted:

Our nutrition information was originally compiled from a variety of sources, including the US Government's USDA federal database. We also got data directly from restaurants and supermarkets. And we allow members to add new items to our database, which results in hundreds or thousands of new items being added to the site each day.

I would be cautious on this because of the fact that they do allow members to enter information. When you are taking alli you need to know exactly how much fat you are consuming. You can verify the fat contents on this site or fitday.

    Good luck,

    Betty Kovacs, MS, RD
