    Nothing has Happen

I've been taking Alli now for a week and nothing has happened, no weight loss, no side affects, no fat loss, but I did gain 2 lbs! I'm eating from the menu posted on the web site, most of the time. Can someone tell me what I can do? Or maybe how long it takes before alli starts to work? I've done so many diets and even gone to diet doctors but the weight won't go away. I weight in at 180 and need to loss at least 50 lbs. Any advice?

    Re: Nothing has Happen

I'm sure your feeling frustrated...have to remember, closer you are to the weight you should be, longer it takes to get there...have to have patience. You really don't have to stick to the exact meals that they suggest ( I have yet), just have to stick to the calorie and fat intakes, or close to them. I will suggest since you only have 50 pounds to lose (that what doctor says? or what some chart that don't know you says?), do cardio work outs, and start lifting weights...muscle does weigh more then fat, but muscle also aids fat loss, and builds up your metabolism. Also, you didn't mention how tall you are. My suggestion is to give it time, exercise (cardio for at least...at least 20 min., at a rate that keeps your heart rate up for that full length of time, 3-4 times a week). If that doesn't help, might want to talk to your doctor.

Started weight : 285 lbs. size :26/28 goal weight: 180 lbs. (if get lower...great, if not...will be happy) current weight, as of 6-11-08 : 184 lbs., size 14/16

Try weighing and measuring everything you eat for the next week. Your portions may be bigger than you think. Some of the recipes in the plan are multiple portions - you're watching for that, right?
