These are all great ideas! There are so many benefits to oatmeal and with the colder weather approaching it couldn't be more satisfying. Hearing about adding the fruit is every dietitian's dream comment from a comsumer. You each have added a new dimension!
Let me mention that oatmeal doesn't just have to be for breakfast! I'm a big believer in non-traditional eating: turkey sandwiches for breakfast; oatmeal (or other cold cereal) for dinner. We all have different schedules and different times of the day when we're more hungry than others. And we should listen to those messages and eat accordingly.
Finally, tossing in some walnuts or almonds is a good way to boost the fat, if you need it.
