    hi,

    it is my 3rd day of alli....fingers crossed!  my question is....what if i eat a bowl of cereal w/lots of fruit on it for bkfast. it has almost no fat. do i TRY to eat more and include fat even though i am not hungry for it?  or do i have to change my bkfast altogether?

     also, if i have something little when i get up, go for my walk...then have more...if the 2nd includes fat...is it ok to take the alli then? 

     do you have to have so many hours between each alli pill?

    Do I need to increase my fat or not take the pill??

    Hi Mainemom,

    My husband has diabetes, high cholesterol and high blood pressure.  We've changed the things we eat to very low fat.  It is hard for me to eat the amount of fat I'm supposed to.  I would like to know if I should take alli only when I eat the 15 grms of fat that I'm supposed to at each meal.

    I would cut back on some of the fruit because of the carb calories. Add some healthy fat instead, like almonds to the cereal.

    Take the Alli with any meal containing at least 5 g fat. So if the little something before the walk contains 5 or more g fat take it then. If you eat again within 2 hours of the Alli the pill will also work with that food. Try to space out the pill throughout the days 3 main meals.
