    Reached my goal!

Hi all, Well I finally lost that one stubborn pound. I have hit my goal and now I am working on maintenance. As I don't really want to loose any more weight, I have set a goal for myself in the activity field. I am going to the gym 3-4 times a week plus my home activities (I have two horses to maintain) so I am faily active. One of my co-workers want to run a Team Marathon in September and he asked me if I wanted to be part of the team. I would need to run one of the five legs of the race. It would be about 5 miles. I think I will set that as my activity goal. I would need to train so I can run five miles by the beginning of September. I had to join a new gym as the one I was going to went out of business. I am told that there is a trainer at the new gym who specializes in running so I think I may meet with him and see what he thinks. To all out there keep up the good work. It all comes to us in time and with patience! Sharon

    Re: Reached my goal!

How wonderful!  You should be very proud of yourself.  This is a great accomplishment.  How long did it take you to reach your goal?  You have some good ideas for maintaining too.  I think your plan to train for the team marathon is awesome.  You're an inspiration to those of us who are still struggling to get where you are today.  Thanks for sharing your success with us.

    Re: Reached my goal!

    Hi Sharon,

Congratulations on your success!!!! I love the idea of finding something to work towards with your activity. When you are used to trying to lose weight there is somewhat of a loss once you have reached your goal. Of course, maintaining your weight takes a lot of effort. The problem is that you don't get the same sense of accomplishment seeing the weight stay the same each week as you do watching it go down. You can now get that feeling from seeing your activity level increase as you train for this race.

Keep us posted on how it's going,

    Re: Reached my goal!

Sharon, I am way super excited for you!!  I was keeping up with you, but the first week in May I stopped eating healthy and taking my Alli.  This went on for about 6 weeks or so.  I started again on June 10th and have lost 6 pounds. Four of those I lost before and gained back.  I am now down to 134 from 155.  I am so happy for you and can't wait 'till I reach my goal of 120.  Take care and good luck with the maintenance plan. Please let us know how you are doing on it.

    Rebecca

I fell off the bandwagon a gained 11 pounds.  So far I am down 3.  I want to be 120 before April 15th!
