Tooo scared to get on the scale.

I started the alli program about 2 weeks ago. This upcoming Sunday will be my 3rd week. When I started, I weighed my self. I did not like what I saw.  I am sooooo scared to get on the scale and weigh my self. What if I did not lose any weight? I just can’t bring my self to get on that scale...Should I just do it? Or should I not do it.

    Get on that scale!

    Knowledge is power.

You may be pleasantly surprised or you may find that you need to tweek some things.

Usually, if there is no loss after 2 weeks, the tweeking takes place.

Do you see the difference in your clothes or feel the difference from inside (more energy? less lethargic?)

I hope you are pleasantly surprised!

    Alli start 12/30/07

    SW 222 lbs - CW 164.5 lbs

    I've lost 57.5 lbs!

    I HIT NORMAL BMI 24.9 on 8/10/08!

    (I was 32.8 Obese!)

Re: Tooo scared to get on the scale.

     Elle.

Just get on the scale. weigh once a week.

That way you will know . keep track.1-2lbs a week is what you would like to see on scale.

or even maintaining for week is good. Just keep watching those fat grams and portion size and  move that body.5-6 days a week.

I feel off and gained 5-7lbs and have to get back on track. Today so far great.

Now if I can keep going and doing what I'm supposed to do till end of July I will be on my way back.

I go to curves 5 days a week. You can do it.

but I think you have to know where you are each week or daily.

take measurements too. Losing inches is good too.

Re: Tooo scared to get on the scale.

Take the plunge and weigh yourself.  You need to know if you're doing things right or if you  need to make some subtle changes.  I hope you're keeping a food diary or filling out the Nutrition Log daily so you have a clear idea of whether you're eating healthy or not.  Also, measure yourself when you weight in.  You may lose inches rather than pounds,  If you're not exercising, find time to fit this into your schedule.  People who make exercise a part of their new lifestyle almost always have better results with Alli.  If you haven't lost, don't despair.  Just figure out what you need to change in your daily habits to get on a roll.  Accept a slow weight loss.  Most people lose 1-2 lbs a week, which is the best way to lose weight anyway.  Never compare yourself to others you may read about in the message boards.  We are all different.  If you follow the program you will see results.  Your body will respond in its own way and the weight will come off according to your own particular metabolism, BMI, etc.  Let us know how things go for you.  We are all in this together.

     Elle

I hope that you have taken the chance and got on that scale!!!

But even if you are not happy with the results, take it as a learning experience and keep on plugging ahead and not as a defeat.

You cannot always measure your progress by the scale.

    Good luck
