    Reporting July 6 Sun

    30 min elliptical

    1295/69

    I felt I had a pretty good weekend.  I worked a lot on stuff from the office but I caught up all my work e-mails.  Since returning from vacation in early May, no matter what I did,, I always had 195 to 250 e-mails!  My work inbox is now down to a reasonable 54 e-mails (and I hope to handle several of them tomorrow and leave the office with even less tomorrow evening).   Besides all that progress at work, I exercised and ate reasonably healthy over the weekend, so I'm ready for the new challenge and the week to start!

    Yipes! Carol Joy - Whats with all this new stuff on the Alli message board?  I couldn't find this thread at first and got really nervous.  I hope I can find the new thread tomorrow.  Just being gone a few days w/o checking in and finding this new stuff on the board makes me feel a little out of the main stream.  Hope everyone had a great weekend.

    P.S.  What are Tags?

    Lynn - It's not just you.  I just posted last night and there was no warning for this change.  All of us are trying to figure out what's going on on the message boards!  Are these "tags" when message board user picks these cutesy little images that are attached to each of their messages?  I don't know!  Not sure about the font size either, I didn't do anything different but I seem to have two font sizes in this message.

You may want to also share a bit about yourself as we have a half dozen new people you may not know!

     

    Good Morning All -

    Thank you Carol Joy for inclusion in the challenge that starts today!!  I'm excited to get back to your challenges!!  I didn't see the new thread yet, so I'll go ahead and post my information here and if need be, on the new thread as well.

    Current Stats:

    Weight:  174

    Waist:  40"

    Hips:  44"

    Thighs:  25" (I measured the thickest part near the top - please tell me this is wrong so I can measure lower and get a lower number LOL)

    I am currently in between sizes - size 16 is too large, yet size 14 is a bit too snug.  My goals are to get into a comfortable 14 and I would love to lose 5 lbs this month which would bring my overall weightloss total to 50 pounds by my one-year Alli anniversary.  I started the program on August 5, 2007 at 219 and have lost 45 pounds to date.  I'm a very slow loser, so I may not be able to reach that goal, but with the help of this challenge I'm going to give it my best shot!!

    A little about me...I am 40 years old, married and have two daughters - one in college and the other is a sophomore in high school.  I have two chihuahua-dachshund mix dogs - the boy is Nike and the girl is Ping.  I am an avid golfer and love to spend as much time as possible on the golf course.  I live in Tucson, Arizona so I haven't played golf in a few weeks because our weather has been more than 100 degrees each day.  But when the weather is not so hot, I try to get to the golf course everyday after work, even if it's just to hit balls on the driving range.  I'm originally from a small town in Illinois and have only lived here for six years, but it's been long enough for me to know that despite the horrendous heat in the summer I will never move back to the midwest with it's humidity in the summer and the below zero temperatures and snow in the winter.  :-)  I've been employed with a managed care company as a service operations supervisor for the past 5 1/2 years and really love my job - although I'm really, really looking forward to retiring someday and traveling with my husband and playing as many different golf courses as possible.

    Thank you once again Carol Joy - I really appreciate your thoughtfulness when you posted that message to me a week or so ago.  I am really looking forward to this challenge and am happy to be back in your Challenge Circle!  I also look forward to reading how everyone is doing and getting to know everyone on this thread!!

    Thanks JANE for your input--felt better after I read it.   Then............. I was looking for the new challenge from Carol Joy and couldn't find it.  What's up??? 

    By the way, I like the new font!

    Holy Cow ladies! Gone for the weekend, come back, and they've updated the site!!!!

    Also, I've gone into the allinextphase - still haven't figured out how to update my information in my signature - can't see where to do that now.

    Hi girls!!

    Good job hanging-in here for the 1 week Interim exercize holding pattern! I know I did a TON of exercize last week and was glad we had this to hold us over!

    Once the moderators approve the new thread, you will find it on this board under the July Challenge name. Just start posting your July 7th results there, no later than 1 day post due!
