Re: a race to live....labor day challenge

Well, I lost 1 lb this week (132), even tho TOM is back for its visit. Worked in the yard this weekend pulling poison ivy...was dressed head to toe and had gloves on, but still managed to get it on my wrist and forearm....aghhhh. Here we go 4 weeks of itching....

Hope everyone had a great week.......

Re: a race to live....labor day challenge

     Hi Kimberley:

I am so sorry to hear that your precious little Rusty died.  Does the vet know what caused his death?  8 years is just too short a life span for a chihuahua unless he contracted some kind of illness.  I once lost a dog I loved very much too, so I know how much your heart is aching.  In time you will be able to think of the memories and smile.

Linda, I hope your daughter is doing OK with her new diet restrictions. Hey, y'all can still get together and cook.  You just have to change the menu a bit.

Elia, thanks for asking about my babies.  The little filly is still recuperating.  The vet flushed her wound out a few days ago and bandaged it up again.  She had to have stitches, but thankfully no damage was done to her bone.  She is enjoying all of the extra attention except for having to stay in the stall a bit longer to keep her from running around as baby horses, just like human kids, are prone to do.  She is also on a mild tranquilizer so she won't get upset about not being able to frolic in the pasture and kick the stall again!  That would be disastrous.

Hi Judy, I hope the eyes check out OK, but even if you end up wearing glasses that's not bad at all.  They make such pretty ones these days.

Hey, I'm up to walking 2 1/2 miles twice a day!  I even have hubby out there walking with me, which makes it nicer and time goes by faster with someone to chat with.  I listen to music when I am out there by myself, which helps tremendously also.  Now I need to get some strength training going again.

I hope you're all having a nice week.  Oh, will somebody please tell me how to put up my pic?   When I edit profile I do not see an option for adding a pic.  Or do y'all just want to keep on imagining what I must look like?   LOL

Re: a race to live....labor day challenge

     Hello everyone,

I lost 2 lbs of the 3 lbs I gained last week...Back to working hard and drinking that H2O...Hope everyone is doing great.  I became so upset when My little chihuhuha Rusty passed away on 7-28.  Heart broken and my son which is stationed in Iraq might be placed somewhere else more dangerous.  I let stress get the best of me.  I really am trying to be strong and stick to my healthy eatting plan.  I want to be at least in the 160tys by February.  Big hugs,

    Kimberley

Re: a race to live....labor day challenge

Liz your doing great.  Its ok.  We need to tackle Jolly and see just how to lose 6 lbs in one week.  Amazing.  I have a summer cold and I haven't been able to really eat anything.  So maybe I will be in the 170 tys range monday.  Not a real healthy way to lose weight.  But, maybe it will help me get back on track.  Big hugs...
