     Sanderpie, I weigh in just on Fridays. But this past week I cheated b/c I was weight-worried. I do a lot better when I weigh in once a week. Water gain can change your weight throughout the day. If I see a badnumber on the scale, I can really sabotage my plan, so I try to only weigh in Fridays.

    I weighed myself Friday morning and Friday night. 5 1/2 lb difference. SO, fluids really do make a difference. That's why I try to weigh myself Friday mornings only, on an empty stomach.

    Happy Monday ladies! That long weekend was great, too bad it had to end. I am not doing so well. I haven't gained, but I am almost out of Alli and it's so expensive, even with the $5 off. I am going to have to wait until next Wednesday to get it after payday.

    I also work with this "know it all" 18 year old at my part time job - he knows everything about everything - and he recently lost about 70 lbs...and his first month he lost 20, now he's trying to lose more weight even though he does not need to and I guess he's doing high fiber intake...well it's frustrating when he asks me how I'm doing and I say I'm down 6 lbs in one month and he's brags he lost 20 his first month...it makes me hate it...I know I didn't put it on overnight, but this is tough. I'm seeing results on the scale (slowly), but that's it.

    Hope everyone had a safe and happy 4th.

     Hello everyone, I am a newcomer (have losts of weight to lose) I am actually hoping to take off ten pounds this month.  Can someone tell me where you first log in your weight so that it stops telling me "you have not enter weight data yet".  Thanks.

    I have so much weight to lose it seems a little overwheling so I like the idea of taking it day to day.  Gail

    Don't get discouraged! That guy may not be eating healthy (Adkins) or may not be eating enough calories. That's it! I'm on the way and we can hold him down and shove Snickers into him! HAHA! =)

    Welcome! With the website being changed around I know navigating will take some getting used to. When I 1st got set up on My Alli I couldn't update my weigh in until I had been on for the 1st week. If this doesn't help I think there is a tread about check in questio, A moderator may be able to help you, too!

    Girls, I ate bad this holiday, so I'm back on track to losing it!

    Thanks Kendra. He keeps some fiber cereal crap at work so I'll have to sabotage it with chocolate and other bad stuff. Ha. I know it's easier for men to lose than women...at least that's what the Slim Quick commercial says haha.

    I think alot of my problem has been a change in schedule - with the holiday and what then the pt job - and of course stress - I had a job lined up, an Academy date...everything - and thanks to our genius govenor all that was thrown away - I know it's not a "waste", but I feel like I wasted...8 months of my life for what - nothing - I have to start all over - back to square one...I turned in my Detention Deputy Trainee application last Wed - so we'll see how quick this process takes - I called today and I have to do EVERYTHING over - PAT, POST, CVSA - it was all intimidating the first time...not again...I can do it though, it's just so frustrating when I was so close, and it was all taken away and not for anything on my part.

    I'm going to force myself to the gym alot this week and play makeup. I don't have PT this week and my knee pain has started coming back which is also annoying..so I'll just suck it up and kick my own butt back into loss mode :-)

     Happy Monday everyone!!!!!!  A new week.  My weigh-in is Monday - I'm down 3 lbs from last week.  Last week was my TOM, so that might be part of it.  did a lot of yard work so that might have helped.  I've been on Alli for almost 2 months and lost 11 lbs so far.  I'm happy - could be better but could be worse!

    Stay up everyone - one or two pounds a week is grand!

     I am new to Alli and I hope to be able to lose 5lbs in July - I hope I'm not being overly optimistic.  At least something would be inspiration to keep it up!

     I had a wonderful time with my family and friends for the weekend.  However, I ate so very bad.  I didn't lose, but I didn't gain.(weigh in is on Sundays).  It is discouraging.  I remember when I lost weight before.  I started at Thanksgiving and stood strong throught the holidays and lost all the weight(15 pounds)  by March.  I was so strong.  People would ask why I didn't just wait until after the holidays.  I would say no way.  I was too excited to wait and couldn't wait to lose that weight.  Three years later,  I find myself cheating and can't seem to get that positive ,motivated spirit that I know I MUST HAVE to lose.  I wonder if it is because I know how slow the results are going to be.  The last time I lost, I read the Dr.OZ book, YOU ON A DIET.  I lost 7 pounds the first week and I think that motivated me to stay the course.  I think I'll dust off the book and eat basically what it says and do Alli with it.  For those of you who have never read the book, it does a good job at explaining our bodies and how and why we gain/lose.  Most libraries have a few copies.  For those of you who were strong, CONGRATULATIONS!  Make sure you share your success, we need your inspiration!!!  For those of you who were not so good, forgive your beautiful self and remember that if this was easy- everyone would be at goal weight.  We have a goal of 5 IN JULY!  Drink that water, get out there for a walk(or right infront of your TV and walk in place), and plan those meals!~  We all can do this!

     Hi Ashilynne5576!  I want to be in on this July - 5 pound challenge.  It would be great if I could lose 5 lbs this month.  That would put me around 151 to begin the month of August.  I noticed we are currently about the same weight (give or take a pound).  Would it be possible to buddy-up?  It would be nice to share tips and food ideas.  I am new to this and in a week and three days, I have lost two pounds.  I would like to see bigger results, so any advice would be great.  Like, how do you reach your fat grams and calorie intake?  I am finding it hard to reach the fat grams per meal.  I am also finding it hard to cook for the family that likes big homecooked meals.  It's all a little confusing . . . I check my messages everyday and can't wait to hear from you.

     Good morning ladies!

     I am scared to weigh this week. I don't drink as much water on the weekends - actually - I rarely drink anything on the weekends - unless it's a drink with a meal...at work since I sit and am stationary all day I go through quite a few bottles of water. Today I had to cave and have some caffeine because I am seriously sleep deprived and it's going to be a 12 hour work day today. The last two nights I have NOT been able to sleep. I'll get to sleep close to midnight and then I'm up every hour. I think I have too much on my mind. Tonight I'm going to try tylenol PM. I'm so tired my body hurts and I know lack of sleep effects our weight.

    I just want to see 149 soon. That would be more than enough motivation for me to keep going.

     MTCrook!! I would also like to be part of the group. Do you mind? It'd be great to share tips.

    So I had told myself I wasn't going to get on the scale till Friday, since this past weekend I was a little bad. But, I got on it this morning right before taking a shower and I was 155!!! Already 2 lbs for this month. It'd be so great to be at 150 by 1st of August.

    I wanted to share something with you ladies and someone can probably correct me if I'm wrong but I readed on a "Health" website. When you reach that famous "Plateau Effect" I am afraid of it. Anyway, for my current weight the calorie limit per day is 1200 and my body is slowly getting used to getting a certain amount of calories and burning almost the same amount of energy at the gym everyday. So when the body gets used to it, it no longer is working as hard and the weight loss starts to slow down or it comes at a halt. It also says that it is recomended to take a whole week off from dieting when you have reached this so called Plateau Effect. It just takes a couple of days for our body to get used to foods and the amount of calories per day. This will take great stress from you. When it's time to get back on track, your body will have to readjust to the change and slowly the weight loss will start to pick up.

    I thought it made sense but I think for some people, or at least speaking for myself it'd be a great challenge to be bad for a whole week and then get back on track with my workouts and dieting.

     Hey Mirna...may I ask how tall you are?

     I'm having the hardest time understanding shapes and sizes of women - I work at Old Navy as my part time job and I work mostly in the fitting room...I am 5'6'' and a half and 155, I wear a size 12-14 in pants...I have a large chest and wide hips. But it boggles my mind when I see women come through that wear XXL shirts and the same size pants, to me it seems like they are bigger (no offense to them or anyone), but I don't understand it. It makes me think that I am experiencing the "Shallow Hal" thing only in reverse - I see myself smaller than I am? I wear L tops but that's because my chest, and probably the love handles.

     I'm sure this is a rediculous assumption and question on my part - but I see so many different size and shaped women and I don't understand.

    So far I'm down two pounds for the month!  But I tend to go back and forth with a pound or two for several weeks on end.  It would be fabulous to end up with a five pound loss in one month.  I'm going on vacation soon and we do a lot of walking/hiking/fishing and eat lots of healthy food so I really feel like I can do this in July.

    Ashilynne5576 - Try not to stress out about sizes too much.  We are all built so differently and all the clothing sizes can vary depending on brand and cut.  I can wear Old Navy large tops and some mediums and in their pants I can wear a 10 or 12 depending on the cut.  I'm only 5'4 and weigh 169 but I'm pretty much proportionate all over.

    1st GW 164 (Made it!)

    2nd GW 155 (Made it!!!!!!!!)

    3rd GW 145 (Normal BMI)

    4th GW 135

    Final GW 130
