    1pt = Outdoors for lawn work (had 2 big rainstorms and lost lots of sticks, branches, and old dried-up oak leaves. Lots of bending, like doing 30min of deadlifts without the poundage!! I can feel my hamstrings this morning!!

We all know by now 75% of your success at weight losss is determined by the diet! All the best to you; we will miss you!     Cannot remember if I posted this or not; my weight stayed the same, but I have lost 1/2" off my waist since we posted our starting measurements before this challenge! I am eating more nuts (in reason) and have dropped white starches as well as my evening Kashi Oatmeal-dark chocolate chip cookie I would have after dinner. I am also eating LOTS of berries (1-2C a day) with lowfat plain yogurt. It is said that 2-3 lowfat dairy servings a day aide in weight loss. That is the only dairy I have now besides once a week parmigianno-reggiano on my multi-grain pasta night. I also believe dropping meats from my food intake has helped alot! I now have fresh fish 2-3 times a week, but thats it for animal protein!

    Good luck to us all to have as many 3 point days this coming week as possible!

    Our harddrive went out on our computer so I haven't been able to report. Not to mention I have been working at both gap stores in town--Not one day off in 13 days- so i've been a little exhausted. But I only work one shift today so I am really happy. I am going to get outside and excercise! I've been healing wonderfuly.

    On an even worse note (INSERT EVER SWEAR WORD YOU KNOW HERE) I was helping some guy at work buy a sweater for his friend and I asked him in comparison to him how much bigger he was than HIM and do you know what he said?!!!!!! "HES FAT LIKE YOU" steam is still pouring from my ears.

    It's those kinds of people that we can do without!!!! Put him in a "fat suit" and see how he feels about being treated that way! They just don't understand unless they've walked in our shoes! I didn't watch it, but there was a movie on Lifetime where a teenage girl, wanting to know what it was like, changed her appearance, was very large, and began to look at things a lot differently. Too bad we couldn't do that to the rest of the world!!

    Whew, now I'm all caught up.  I've been computer challenged at home recently as well, we were struck by lightning and my router was zapped, along with the ethernet card on my desktop.  My dad got everything all fixed and up and running last night so now the desktop and laptop are back in action!!  Something must be in the air with the computers since Melissa and Kelley were also experiencing issues!

    Happy Belated birthday Lynn!!  I hope you had a wonderful time!

    Sharon - I am so glad to hear that your son is okay after the accident - how scary.  By the way, was it your birthday this weekend too?

    Cher - Your Thursday was just crazy!! I'm glad to hear that everyone is doing better now!

    Outdoor exercise- 1 point (I started out doing REALLY well Sunday... walked 4-1/2 miles outside...)

    Indoor exercise- 1 point (...then continued inside with 45 minutes brisk mall walking!)

    Calorie/fat intake- 0 points (but all that walking must have made my hungry... I not only ate 4 meals, but had seconds at one... not sure WHY I let myself... I was hoping that somehow I would still make it in under 1800 calories, but I hit 2500 and 85 gms of fat... but it happened, I'm not going to beat myself up too badly, and I'm back on track today...)

    Thanks everyone for your well wishes for my son. I guess he got a bit of whiplash after all, but he's feeling better today. Thank you Jayne for your tip about submitting the repair bill to the insurance company. It was actually about 3 weeks ago that he had the work done, but it's worth a try. Strange twist is that when we picked up the police report today, it said the car owner AND operator of the car was 57... and he was only a kid about my son's age. I'm hoping it was a typo on the report (because the insurance company questioned the DOB) and not that this kid isn't insured to drive his Dad's car... my son only has compulsory insurance and not collision on his car. We'll see what happens...

    Jayney - Congrats on 3-lbs lost in 1 week!  I don't think I've done that since I was about 20 yrs. old!

    Sharon - Beyond the obvious, lI'm not sure what compulsary insurance means but the trick is to let the insurance company make the offer first and then show them the receipt for the repairs.  If it's substantial longterm repairs (I had put a catalytic converter, a new muffler and something called "bushings" on the day before the car was wrecked - all of them are items that have a long life and add to the value).

    I had to give blood today and I never do well after a donation.  I got home and went straight to bed and stayed there until this evening.  Too late in the day to eat 1200 calories and 30 grams of fat.  Everytime I stand up I get real dizzy and things start to go dark on me so I'm skipping my exercises as well.

    Better days tomorrow :=)
