 My doctor has always been on my case about my weight - I'm sure he means well by it - BUT I doubt he's ever seen a fat day in his life so how does he know what it's like to walk in my shoes (OR in a body where your thunder thighs make contact every time you walk ?? hahaha)

Last time I was there he was trying to push me joining WW .. I said .. SURE .. "you pay for it for me" and he just looked at me.  He couln't figure out why I didn't have money to pay for it.  SORRY doc ... I don't work for the phone co. any longer ... my pay stinks ... and we have bills up around our ears !!!

GGgrrrrrrr .. ok - enough about that :)

 Hi again MrsB. It is so good to talk to someone who has the same issues as me. I can't believe these docs. I mean, do they not want our money anymore? Do they even realize that they are not the only docs in the world? I guess mine doesn't think so. I have already pinned down a new one. Anyway, I just want to say that it feels great to have someone to finally talk to who understands how I feel. Had it not been for the fall and the very arrogant doc, I might not have come back at all. I was ready to give it all up. Now, I am back again and absolutely determined to NOT let this weight get the best of me. Thank you MrsB, you are making a huge difference in the way I feel.

Otherwise, why would they simply smile and say "Just push away from the table."

When I was talking to my doc about Alli, I told him it was like antibuse (a drug they use for Alcholics when they are trying to get them to dry out), I tell him if I have to stay within my fat grams and watch what I eat with a conquence, then it works.

He smiled and nodded, I think I put it in a language that he understands.

Hey, it's doubtful I can help you, I've been in my "stuck" period for four months now!  Well I do know why - I eat too much on weekends.  That probably won't help you though.  I wanted to add that Costco (here in Northern California anyway) has the 150 capsule bottles for $60.00 most of the time and right now they have a coupon for $10.00 off that.  I just bought some today.  Go check it out!

 I hate when people give you that "Just put your hands on the table and push away" crap. *rolls eyes*  If it were that easy we'd all be a size two.  I know it's ugly, but I wish all the people that have said that would baloon up to about three or four hundred pounds and let them see how easy it is to lose weight. 

Alli has not gone up in my area yet. Now I wonder if I should go ahead and buy my next bottle before it can go up.

I just wanted to let everyone know that some insurances may cover at least part of the cost of Alli. My insurance is covering all but $15. All I did was go to the doctor, get a script for it and then got approval from my health insurance company. I was able to handle the pre-approval of this through my local pharmacy. Just had to fill out a form and they faxed it to my insurance company. Not sure that all insurances will cover it but it is worth giving it a try. Far cry cheaper.

 Hi Terri,

You really made me smile when you stated that you it in a language that he understands. And, you are exactly right! I need something that will make me pay if I eat too much! Anyway, I feel so much better now that I am back on the plan! I have been having a very hard time lately with depression and this board is really helping. Thanks for making me smile!
