Visionary_7:
Well, I was just ready to sit down here and ask the same questions about losing in the first week, or second or third. So far I'm down only 2 pounds. I feel like I've lost inches, but can't be sure. Some clothes feel a bit looser. I'm not sure my scale is correct. But, I'm doing everything correctly as following the plan except for the exercise. It's not that I can't do it, I just don't for some reason. My fat and calorie intake never reach the totals, which I have a question about. If the total fat grams for a meal is 15 grams, does that mean we have to get 15 grams for that meal, and 3 for a snack, equaling 48 a day? It's not happening right now. At the end of the day my fat and calorie intake is not even close to the limits. Is this hurting me by not allowing the pill to work? I love this plan, and feel like it's something I can live with. But being in my 4th week, I'm getting frustrated with only the 2 pound loss. Thanks, and it really helps with these message boards.
Everyone loses weight at different rates, and the more weight someone has to lose the faster it will go -- at least in the beginning and then it tapers off to a steadier loss.
If you're not sure your scale is correct then you need to get a new one, or borrow one, or change the batteries, or whatever. A reliable scale is essential!!!
It's really important to get the recommended amount of calories anf fat. There are two great posts at the top of this message board that give more on whey each is so important for best results with alli. Yes, your total is 48 and the 3 grams are designated for one or two snacks (3 grams divided if you have two). Beware of more fat than that in a snack. For some people that can trigger TE's if they had the full amount of fat in a meal and than have a snack soon after with 4 or 5 grams of fat. Again everyone is different but that's the advice we offer.
The other thing that may be slowing you down is portions may be a little larger than you realize. I recommend that people weigh and measure everything they eat and drink for at least a week. It's a great way to learn what portions "look" like -- and they usually lose a little more weight!
I hope this helps. I know you realize activity will help you too, and hopefully you'll be able to start that soon.
