    This is embarrassing!

Since starting this alli I am bloated and I have gas. What do you all do to get rid of that?

    Re: This is embarrassing!

Yes, it is not a pretty experience.  But, I learned that I needed to cut down on cooking with olive oil and choosing better proteins and carb. I also had to cut-out the fast food.  I started drinking more water.  My best suggestion would be to keep a food diary for a few days and notice what you are eating. The items that I mentioned were my problem. I started and stopped alli. But, I have learned how to cook more often and practically eliminate eatting out or cooking any processed foods.  Now, I feel better and can tell when I eat certain things and what will give me those bloated and gas results.  Well, good luck.  Many of us have had some sort of effect.  It's okay.  It will get better as you learn yourself.

    Happy alli.

    Re: This is embarrassing!

I am starting my 3rd week on alli and shortly after the end of the first week, started with treatment effect (oily anal discharge-my uephamism for "wet farts").  I have not found the gas to be stinky, but have had to use a pantyliner on a daily basis.  I know I am eating well as I couple the alli with the Weight Watcher plan.  Therefore, I put up with the gas and don't change how I am eating.  When I was doing Weight Watchers without the alli plan, I had very stinky gas.  It was just my body's way of dealing with all the fruits and veggies.

As far as being embarrassed about it, just hang around large or moderate sized groups and admit nothing.  They won't know where it's coming from.  That's my defense.

I do the liner thing as well..just in case...The bloating and gas happend to me on my first go round with alli...I am not sure why...but now it dosent happen anymore...I think it was due to it being introduced to my body....oh also if I slipped and had anything cooked in grease like a few fries or something I did get the oily gas....good luck and I hope it goes away soon!

    Re: This is embarrassing!

I havent had the "wet-farts" per say...I had one day where I knew I went over what I shoulda, but as I stay constipated, it was kinda welcomed....learned from and do not care to repeat it...but welcomed...lol....as for the gas...well, you could try gas-x....I will usually take one at night before bed...or in the morning if it gets...uh..outta hand..lol and like the poster above said, water seems to really help...

Now my biggest problem has been writing stuff down...its like Im writing handicap...I look at what Im eating, total fat yadda yadda, trying to stay under 15grams of fat....but its the stopping and writing it down that I just cant seem to get....I feel like a dork....any suggestions???
