In the Calorie & Fat Counter that came with my starter pack, there is different nutrition information for some of the food than the restaurants post. I've noticed it with the Subway entries and with the El Pollo Loco entries (basically the only food I eat). So, I would like to know which information to go by. Here's an example:
According to C&FC: El Pollo Loco, Pollo Bowl, 1srvg, 543 cal, 10 g. fat
According to El Pollo Loco Website Nutrition Info:
Start Date: 6/30/08 SW: 196, 1st goal: 187 (Met 7/19/08), 2nd goal: 178, CW: 183, GW: 130
The information in the C&FC was printed over a year ago, so it's a good chance that the El Pollo Loco might have updated the nutritional information. Also, do they both include the same ingredients for the bowls? This could be what is causing the difference in calories and fat grams.
Well, the C&FC doesn't list the ingredients, so It would be difficult to tell. Is there any chance that they might reprint a more accurate version soon or later? I'm guessing that maybe the one in the book assumes you'll be eating tortillas? but that wouldn't account for the similar amounts of calories.
