Did you notice a large difference using Alli? Stories!

Hi!! I'm Kat. I'm 18 (I know, very very young). Let me first congratulate everyone who is on there way to losing weight! I am also embarking on this difficult journey.

Over the past 6 months I've been traveling around alot and I really let myself go and didn't exercise and ate alot, and gained an extra 25 lbs (plus I was 25 lbs over weight anyway). So about 3 weeks ago I came home and committed myself to "kicking into gear"- I first started with a detox program recomended by my doctor, running for and hour uphill everyday. Since then I have finished my detox and I was already keeping a journal of everything I ate everyday, eating only organic, low-fat diet. I also increased it to 2 hours uphill everyday, AND a half hour on my ski-machine (nordictrack) AND a half hour on my exercycle. It's alot but I'm really motivated and I've been keeping it up steadily.

SO! Since I've been home I've probably lost about 5 pounds in water weight, and 6 pounds in fat weight-already feeling so much better!

Today I bought my first starter kit of Alli, and I'm wondering what all of your experiences are... anyone who has had diet and excersise before starting Alli, have you noticed a much larger difference? Did you really get 50% more of a weight loss? How much of that do you think was water weight? How long did it take you to lose how much weight?

I am so excited to see the results of this product. I haven't been able to ask on any other message board because people just tell me not to use it, but I really think it's an investment. My hope is to atleast lose upto 3lbs a week. I know this is alot but I've got alot to lose and have been working hard to lose it!

Ps. I just took my first pill before my last meal! =)

Re: Did you notice a large difference using Alli? Stories!

     hi kat!

wow! i could take a cue from your activity. although i exercise, i don't keep that schedule.

i lost quite a bit of weight, through diet and exercise alone. in april of this year, after the holiday's and a week's vacation, i had gained about 10 pounds. after doing some research, i decided to try alli. i have not been blown away with the results. i find the plan easy to follow. i don't experience t.e.'s (which was my fear). but, i expected that because i knew how to lose weight (and had been successful with that) that alli would just be a catalyst in helping me shed the 10 pounds i'd gained and lose 10 more. well, i've stayed in the same  10 pound range since april. i've gained a pound, lost two....gain two....lose one. i cannot seem to get anywhere.

i do not blame alli for this. i get off track and make the wrong eating decisions. then, i'll eat right, but my exercise schedule will get off track. then, maybe for a couple weeks, i'll get it all together!

keep focused. try alli! there have been a lot of posts here that say wonderful things about it. as for me, i'm still undecided. i have a bottle to finish, then, i'm going to decide if i will continue with or without alli.

one thing is for sure!!! i will CONTINUE!

    :-)

Re: Did you notice a large difference using Alli? Stories!

    Hi Kat,

I started alli on 6/28/08 at 160 lbs…I didn’t weigh myself until a couple of days into the program so ignore my overly optimistic starting weight here at the bottom of my post.  (I still can’t figure out where to change my signature).  I don’t have the time to  exercise as much as you do, but I get an hour of cardio in day.  I played soccer my whole life, college and all that too, so I like the exercise.  I have to say that today I am down 8 lbs since starting and though that may not seem like a lot it is truly fantastic.  I find that I can lose about ½ lb a day on alli.  Not completely sure if that is always true.  The first week  I did not do any exercise and still lost plenty, 5 lbs!  I think it always changes, but stick to your fat grams.  I stick to the 1400 cal 15g fat plan…not that I am always on target with the calories, sometimes I am 100 over or so.  I try though!  I really believe that alli helps and that if you work hard alli will work hard with you.  So I would imagine you will have great success!!!

    Good luck!!
