    Scared to try it..

My story. Lost 48 lbs on my own and slowly have gained 8 lbs back. I am totally stuck on the whole diet and exercise thing. So I thought I would give it a try. But the "TE" stories have me freaking out. This morning I got up and took it before chickening out, and I feel terrible. But I feel certain this is all anxiety.

My back kind of hurts... I don't know if this is gas or all in my head. And I feel very shakey. I also feel like I have a fever. But I don't.

I work in a court and it is very possible that if I am sick I won't be able to go to the bathroom. But I feel like also, if I don't give this a shot and it does work, I will be putting myself behind the possibility of a problem.

    Anyone make me feel better?

NRX101270, hey, if you watch the fat intake, you will be fine!! I have been on Alli an entire year and have never had any "big" problems!! The anxiety is probably doing you in. I was trying to lose weight on my own, due to my ankles hurting, my back aching and just being totally out of sorts, well being 52 and overweight with medical issues just does not go well, but all I was doing was swimming, the weight kept hanging on. Then I found out about Alli, and hon, I have not felt so good in such a long time!! I am more active, more self confident (even while unemployed!!) and just enjpying life so much more!! I hope that ypu do saty with the plan. Let us know how the plan goes!! It does work, amd the support is just the best!! Stay positive and strong!! Love,

    Elia

Live, love and laugh while you are at it!! PEP= plan, exercise and post!! Hugs,

    Re: Scared to try it..

     Welcome to the Alli Family

The sad thing is that all of the horror stories have kept people away that could have really been helped to lose weight.  I started last July and have lost 80 pounds.  I have never had any of the dreaded treatment effects, that everyone who has never even tried Alli talk about,  because I was very careful to keep track of the fat content of what I was eating.  Alli kept me honest.  Its not a miracle pill, you still have to watch your diet and exercise (same old tired story) but thats just what it all boils down to.

Good luck, and dont give up.  Thin feels much better than a Big Mac tastes :  )

If someone told you to jump off a bridge, would you ?  I doubt it - then why are you now believeing in what people say about a product they know NOTHING about ???

This is your life we're talking about here .... do you want to be healthy and live to a nice ripe old age or just see it pass you by because you can't get off your duff and do anything about it ?

    Re: Scared to try it..

Hey there, you are totally not going to have any problems with Alli! I promise that as long as you stay within your fat allowance. This is what I do.......I count how many fat grams I am going to have per meal, plan my meals ahead of time and only eat what is on my plan. I started Alli on June 19th and have lost 23 pounds so far. It is really easy as long as you dont over think it, don't have any fried foods, alot of cheese, butter or anything like that and you will not have any problems. I have not had one special effect! not one! count you fat grams and calories, keep a journal and  stay within your limit and you will succeed! Good luck to you.... Patty

    Re: Scared to try it..

Don't worry so much.  You're making yourself sick.  Like the ones before me have said, as long as you don't go over your fat grams you'll be fine.  I've been on Alli over a month with no T.E.s at all.  I did feel a little gassey and bloated the first day, but now I feel great.  I've lost 14 lbs and it's never been this easy for me to lose weight before. The most important thing is not to believe all the nasty things people have said and do this for you.  I promise, as long as you eat right you won't have any trouble.  Just take a couple of deep breaths and relax.  You'll be fine.  Just give it a chance and keep us updated.  We'll all be rooting for you.  Good luck.
