    New here and have questions

Hi, I am new to alli circles and I am working hard on loosing weight.  My only problem is I am not loosing any.. I have been taking my alli for 2 weeks now and I have not lost 1 pound, I've done everything I should be doing, even exerciseing everyother day...I feel great, but honestly, I would love to see that scale drop.... Help, am I wrong to think I should be droping weight?

    Hi AnnaBlackberry,

Have you been keeping a food journal?  This would help you a great deal.

People do lose weight at different rates, some faster than others.  Have you noticed any other changes?  Have your clothes been feeling looser?  Keep up the work and you will be seeing the numbers on the scale go down.

    Best of Luck.

Re: New here and have questions

     Hello Again,

I really am stuck, I don't get why I am not loosing something. The only thing I can think is that I need to drastically cut my portion sizes. I thought my clothes were looser, then I go and wash them! LOL I did loose a few inches over all, but shouldn't the scale move? I drop 1 - 2 pounds then the next day or end of the week I am back up... So maybe drastic major change is required.  Any suggestions would be greatly appreaciated.

    Anna

Re: New here and have questions

    Hi Anna,

People do lose weight a different rates and the scale is but only one measurement and in the beginning may not be the most accurate.  Your clothes feeling looser is telling you that fantastic changes are taking place. With exercise that builds muscle there may be an initial weight gain with a loss of inches since muscle is more dense than fat.

Also watch the amount of sodium in your food.  It may just be the water weight that is fluctuating daily.  Keep it up, the scale will be moving down.

Thyroid issues can contribute to a slow metabolism that makes it extra difficult to lose weight. Just something to think about if you haven't had your thyroid levels tested recently.
