    Alli and Weight Watchers?

    I'm sort of new....

I tried posting on here several months ago but never got around to starting Alli.

On June 10, after seeing a horrifying picture of myself, I joined Weight Watchers. Since joining I've lost 14 lbs.

Since the Alli bottle is sitting in my cabinet I want to give it a go. I've looked at the Weight Watchers board and found it to be useless.

Do Weight Watchers and Alli work well together? Has anyone tried it? Or is anyone doing it? It'd be great to have a buddy to do this with if the programs work well together!

    Re: Alli and Weight Watchers?

    Hi Victoria,

There are many people who are taking Alli and are also part of WW.  You may be able to get more information by going to the personal experience forums which are more specific.  Something new to this site is the alli circles community, where you can create a community with other alli users which is more intimate.

    Hope this helps.

    Re: Alli and Weight Watchers?

Hi Victoria -- and congratulations on your road to a healthy new you. I have been on WW for over a year now and have slowly lost 40 pounds but I hit a plateau and felt like I needed a little extra help so thought I would try Alli. I have not had my first check in yet but feel like things are going well. I have had no problems at all but I journal everything I eat which I think is a big plus.

Good luck and keep me posted on your progress.

    Re: Alli and Weight Watchers?

Hi! I'm doing WW/Alli and lost 3 lbs my first week. I've done WW alone twice and lost 50 and 30 lbs. WW message boards are pretty unfriendly with the WW/Alli combination so I don't talk about it there. Good luck to you! Hope to see you posting more with great success. :)

    Re: Alli and Weight Watchers?

I am not on WW, but what I have read so far is that WW allows you to "save up" points for a larger meal where as that doesn't always work well with Alli- you really have to watch those fat grams per meal and make sure you don't exceed (or it will be TE City for you). Read those labels and make sure your fat grams are in allowance for that meal (you have to spread them out).

    Best of luck!

    Re: Alli and Weight Watchers?

Yes, WW does let you "save" points for a larger meal but since it's just my husband and I now that the kids are grown we eat pretty small meals so I spread all my points and now my fat grams throughout the day. I'm anxious to have my first check in on Thursday so how the assistance of Alli has helped -- if at all!

    Have a great week everybody!

    Re: Alli and Weight Watchers?

I hope you were as shocked as I was my 1st week (4.5 lbs week 1, 2.5 week 2)... Amazing to me still!

    Good luck!

    Re: Alli and Weight Watchers?

I started alli today and have been on WW since 1/5/08. I am concerned about the 2 tsp of healthy oil you are supposed to have on ww. Has anyone had a problem with that??

    Re: Alli and Weight Watchers?

I have not had a problem with it yet but I journal, journal, journal everything. As long as you keep everything (points, fatgrams) at your limit, you should be fine.

Good luck and be sure to post often so we can keep up on your progress!
