Pampered Chef turns Alli Party / 1 year anniversary

I just had my one year anniversay on July 10th 2008. I can't believe that it's been a year Alli has changed my life and my body.  I have cureently lost 79lbs and have 39lbs to go.  I just know that if I stick with it the weight will come off for good.  I always share my triumphs with everyone who will listen anywhere but always I come hear first.  I know that I have true support, people who know exactly what I am going through.  I thank everyone who has supported me in all of my battles and triumphs. I love this website and the support from the dietians, physical fitness experts, and all of you, THANK YOU.

Ok OK Ok that's enough about that but this is funny..I don't know if you all are on the compuspace website for Alli users but on there they have been talking about having a Alli dinner party.  Well last Friday I was at a Pampered Chef party and the hostess had mentioned how great I am looking well that started it.  I was completely overwhelmed by questions about Alli, I felt I was playing a game of "how many questions can you ansewer in a minute" Me and my Alli story took over the party for about an hour....It was kind of fun the gal who was running the party told me she was going out the next day to pick up her Alli starter pack she said "I'll just have to book an extra party or two to pay for it"  It's funny how you fiure it out when it counts.  I just wanted to share this story I thought to myself I have all the poeple in this room who I can invite to my Alli party :-)

Woohoo Angie.  You are doing terrific and I can associate with you.  I've been at this journey for almost 15 months.  Was on a low calorie-low fat diet about 3 months before adding alli on 8/8.  Just about 2 weeks will be one year on alli.  Since May 11 when I started this journey I am down 81.6.  Since adding alli down 59.6.  At my age its alot of work to get this off--in my ol 50's here.  lol.

I don't tell many people about using alli as I get tired of the looks and stuff from all the bad stuff they have seen.  Very few people actually know about it.  Most think its just a low fat low cal deal.

I know I am getting all kinds of questions and looks etc.  I even recently saw a guy look me up and down in a good way and then say to somebody standing by the two of us "who is that"--meaning me and how I don't look like I did.

I also know that this time I will make it and I will never ever go back to my old ways.  Nothing tastes as good as feeling thin.

You go girl.  You have a positive attitude which is the main ingredient in this process!!!

Wow....I just started the pill this morning and I am worried.  I am afraid because I am at work and I dont want any accidents but I know that if I stay away from high fatty foods I shouldn't have a problem right.  I did as the diet suggested and started eating healthier a week ago and this morning I took my first pill with my low sugar oatmeal.  Wish me luck ladies and gents my goal is to loose 40lbs (i could really stand to loose 50 and if I make it there then great) the good thing is my honey is fine with me cooking healthier meals and my son needs to loose 10-15 pounds so all the healthy eating is rubbing off on him too.  I have been reading all these success stories and I am hopeful that with small goals I can get to where I want to be.

Wish me luck ladies. Here is a little about me....I am 34 years old I am a Paralegal I have a 10 year old son and 2 teenage step daughters and a loving and wonderful companion.  He fully supports me and my decision to loose weight even tho he finds me completely perfect....that is awesome but he will do anything to make me happy and if I want to loose weight then the whole house will eat healthier.  Its awesome to have his support and to have everyone here on the website.  I need to buy a scale this weekend and I promise to weigh in once a week my goal is 2lbs this week.  I will keep you posted.

Re: Pampered Chef turns Alli Party / 1 year anniversary

yoly113, I have been on alli for 5 weeks now. The only time I had trouble is the 2nd week, when on vacation and eating out--I didn't go by myself so couldn't choose only what worked for my diet: Indian, Thai, greasy spoon...It was impossible to eat within my range and so I had smaller portions, eating fruit/veggies in between that I'd brought in my cooler for the trip. I never had an accident even then. I had other discomfort (gas, bloating, pain in my gut, loose stools) and I gave up trying to use alli under those circumstances. Happily, I did well enough to maintain that week, which was my goal. Good luck to you, I am having excellent results. While my official weight loss on the alli site is 5 pounds, I had another week or so before I started, journalling and following Weight Watchers, and I have had a lower weight (I get on the scale every day) than the one I had on Sunday when I checked in, so it is 11 lbs total. I have never had such good and fast results before and am very pleased at the assist alli has provided. I am back into some clothes I'd outgrown and also people are mentioning that I am looking well.

Angie, that is a great success story.  You have truly figured it out, and now there's no reason this won't work for the rest of your life.  I'm happy to hear that a group of people was actually interested in hearing about the program.  Mostly people start right in with the scary poop stories.  That's a shame that they are dissuaded by a fear of something that can be controlled.  Anyway, I know you will make it to your goal.  Just don't be like me, I was great for the first year, and now I feel lucky I am maintaining my 50 pound weight loss.  I am good during the week, not so good on weekends, that way I can keep from gaining, but it isn't a recipe for losing the other 10 pounds I want to lose.  You keep it up, and keep reporting in!  Congratulations!

    Hi Angie,

Congratulations on your success!!!! The best proof that this plan really does work is stories like yours. Once people see the results you are always going to be asked how you did it. The right "diet" is the ultimate find :o)

    Thanks for sharing,
