    Does it stop working????

     Hi everyone,

I've been taking Alli since Jan, and had alot of sucess, using it I was just wondering after a while if the pill stoped working for any of you guys. For about a good two weeks I will admit Iwas eating alittle bad, (maybe alot) and I stoped having the side effects, and started  to gain back some weight mage 7 lbs.  Has this happeded to anyone else I stoped taking it for a week. I'm going to start back up later this week and c how it works.

    Re: Does it stop working????

    Hi,

One 60mg Alli dose will block 25% of the fat that has been consumed.

Your body does adapt to the effects of Alli and the longer you take alli the more tolerant you become of treatment effects.  Also, as you lose weight your caloric requirements also decrease and to keep losing you need to eat less calories than previously as well as keeping up with the exercise.  It is normal to start gaining weight once you go back to the bad habits, but you can get back on track quick.

    Best of luck.

Do I understand correctly...i've been taking these pills for 5 months and haven't lost anyweight for 5 weeks...have I become "tolerant' of the pills?  How do you overcome that issue?

    Hi GWTWND,

Alli will still be blocking 25% of the fat, but with time and weight loss your body adapts.  In order to continue losing weight you need to consuming less calories and exercising more (increased intensity).

Have you gone to a lower caloric level?  To get over this plateau you may need to decrease your caloric intake by 200 calories a day. Have you been exercising at least 30 minutes a day (aerobic) and resistance training (2-3 times a week)?A little tweaking will get you back on track.

    Hope this helps.
