    Ali And Hormones

I have been on Femhrt 1/5 for a while.   After I started on Ali I started having a period again and it lasted for 14 days. So I stop taking everything.  I am not taking Ali for 30 days but trying to stay on the diet and started back on the hormone Femhrt.

Does Ali affect my hormone intake?   What should I expect when I start back on Ali in two weeks?

    Re: Ali And Hormones

    Hi,

Clinical studies have shown that orlistat, the active ingredient in alli, does not affect the menstrual cycle or the female reproductive hormones.

Any unusual bleeding should be checked out with your physician.  How long has it been since your last menstrual cycle?  A radical change in diet, exercise, weight loss and stress does have an effect on hormone levels.

    Hope this helps.
