I'm one of the oldies also. On August 8th it will be one year for me on alli. I haven't had any problems with te's--well a couple but I know what I did--once I didn't go over fat grams and I had something that was deep fat fried--a chick-fil-a sandwich which was ok according to my fat grams but my body I guess just isn't used to the fried stuff. One time daughter-in-law made sweet potato fries and guess she used ALOT of olive oil and I had problems--you get the picture--lol. I do journal everything that goes in my mouth.
I was on a low fat-low cal diet for 3 months before I added alli and the last 15 months (well almost--well be next week) I've lost close to 84 pounds. Now since adding alli I've lost about 60--somewhere in that vicinity without going and looking at my journal.
I'm also an "oldie"--lol 56 years old and let me tell you at this age its hard work getting it off. I do the bike 50 minutes practically everyday and on alot of days also do water weights for another hour. For me what I have seen is that I do lose a bit more with the alli--I didn't really change much in my eating when I added alli--oh yes I did--forgot--I actually added more fat. That was the hard part for me to realize that this is a fat blocker--its not a miracle drug--dang I wish. So for it to work there has to be fat for it to block. So I add almonds when I have to or a slice of low fat cheese in my salad broken up--stuff like that.
