    Trying to Lose it Again

Been feeling blue so I just wanted to rant a little so maybe I'll feel a little better about myself...

So I started Alli last September and did great (lost 15lbs in about a month) and then the holidays came around and I caved hard. And I started gaining little by little back until I was back to my starting weight again in April. I got fed up and in April/May I tried that Grapefruit Diet thing and... by all means, according to what you're supposed to be eating (very few carbs), I should have lost weight, but something was out of whack with my system, I think, and I ballooned up another 14 lbs on top of all that. I was sitting at around 178lbs and it's the heaviest I've ever been. Everyone in my family noticed and commented on it. I felt completely miserable.

I think my body started finding its balance again and I was back close to my starting weight again mid-July. July 13th... I just got tired of being fat. Just tired of it. Tired of not fitting my clothes, of being made to feel invisible, of never feeling good enough. So my boyfriend encouraged me to start doing P90X dvd workouts with him. I don't do every day with him, but I get in most days. There's a park right across the street that I take my dog for walks in. And I've been really watching what I eat.

I've always been taking the Alli on and off. Whenever I feel like I've had a big meal, I'd take Alli. But even when I pigged out and took an Alli, nothing happened. So I'm not sure if it's working on not. My meals are kind of cut down, so I only take the Alli twice a day. I have a weight loss shake for breakfast, and energy bar for a snack, a meal for lunch (with Alli), and a meal for dinner (with Alli). I'm not sure if it's working, but I don't even want to risk it enough not to take it.

So... that's my rant. I'm starting over again. The results aren't nearly as fast as the first time I did Alli, but at least it's coming off.

I think part  of the problem is your body doesn't know whats going on. And you need to to the program 100% or as close to it as possible. That means the correct fat and calories and doing it consistently may help to get you going. As far as the Alli working,I have been on it for over a year and i was thinking it wasnt working the times i over ate .But one nite i ate cheese cake and boy did i pay for it.So be careful when you least expect it something unpleasant  might happen.have a good week.

A year from now you will wish you had started today.

Re: Trying to Lose it Again

Hi mhn1218, hey like Linda, i have been taking Alli for over a year and it still is working, everytime I go over the fat grams that I should be eating, it shows up in the toilett as floating saucers! No TE's, but I think I am one of the ones that just do not get TE's, I'm not sure if I should be gratefull for that or not! Maybe one bout of TE's would keep me on the straight and narrow!! Glad to have you back and very proud of yoy for your recommitment and weight loss!! Hey, we really can do this, so stick around!!

Live, love and laugh while you are at it!! PEP= plan, exercise and post!! Hugs,

Thanks Linda and Elia! Sound words of wisdom.

And I just want to brag but... I'VE HIT THE 10LB MARK!!

So that puts me at a 33lb weight loss since the beginning of June.

    Feeling excited again!!!
