    Cardio- 1 point... This morning my mile averaged 15.6 minutes (I walked 2-1/2 miles before work)... does that count as a 15 minute mile Carol Joy? Huh huh huh??? Even if it doesn't, I've really improved my time. When I first started, it took me over 20 minutes to walk a mile!

    Weights- 0 points. I gotta get better with this. My workouts with free weights were just BORING and I wasn't sure I was doing anything right, so I didn't know what the benefit would be. I sent for a Joyce Vedral book a few weeks ago and it STILL hasn't come. Does anyone here do any of her workouts? This one says you can work out your whole body with no equipment other than 3lb weights... I can't weight until I get it!

    Calorie/ fat targets- 1 point. I lost 2 more pounds this week and am officially no longer obese! I don't know what kicked in as I'd only been maintaining for the longest time, but whatever it is, I hope it stays with me. Alli changed me to the Next Phase last week, and I restarted and changed my info back to the original numbers, but it still cheated me out of this week's check-in... hopefully there will be even more of a loss to log next week!

    Brittany- I love Monday mornings when all my friends are going back to work! My only gripe is that I don't get another holiday day when we have a Monday holiday... I think I may talk to my boss about that!

    Jayney and Melissa (hope I got the vacation ladies right...)- Enjoy your vacations!

    Reporting Wed 8/13 Thru Mon 8/18

     I'm back from vacation.

    Wed thru Mon

    Cardio - very little formal exercise -  Exercise consisted of some walks and cleaning (one of my brothers and I cleaned my 89 yr. old father's messy apartment from top to bottom - it was probably more cleaning than I've done in my own house since I was in the multiple trauma accident 4 yrs. ago). No tracking of target heart rate. 

    Weights - no formal weight workouts.  I got to use my muscles here and there while cleaning and drvining my dad on his various errands.

    Nutrition - I didn't formally track anything.  Considering that I was on vacation in my home town, I think I successfully side-stepped some high calorie blunders.  Wed - 0 pts.; Thurs - 1 pt.; Fri - 1 pt.: Sat - 0 pts.; Sun =1 pt; Mon - 1 pt.

    Kari, Sharon, Jayne, Brittany - Thanks for the wishes for a good vacation. I believe I saw that Melissa  and Kari

    here's wishing Jaynetyand Saron  - a great vacation.  I got home this evening.  We're under a hurricane watch so our electricity and internet ver the next day or two.

     I typed this last night and I was having trouble staying awake.  I also wanted to wish Melissa, Kari, Jayne and Sharon a nice vacation.  Tropical storm Fay never reached a hurricane and has had very little impact in my area.  It appears to be causing more problems in the central and eastern parts of Florida.

    Reporting for Sunday 8/17 & Monday 8/18

    Hey ladies!  Sorry I haven't reported in a few days.  I had to help my boyfriend move back into school two and a half hours away late Sunday night. :( I'm going to miss him so much!  I can't believe summer is over already! I did manage to get in a gym session before I left and one when I got back, but I didn't have my computer, so I did not track nutrition for either days.

    Sunday August 17th

    Cardio: 5-Minute Sprint on the treadmill/40 Minute power walk with the puppy

    Strength: 2-Hour Yoga Class/Some weight-lifting(wasn't sure if the yoga class should go under cardio or strength?)

    Nutrition: not tracked

    Total: 2 points

     

    Monday August 18th

    Cardio: 15 Minute Swim/30 Minutes doing intervals on the treadmill

    Strength: YES..worked on my arms

    Nutrition: Not tracked

    Total: 2 points

     

    I have only taken one other formal yoga class in my life.  I always thought it was just light excercise, but that power yoga class I took on Sunday really kicked my butt!  It really takes a lot of strength to hold those poses.  I think I'm going to try to fit in at least one class every week.  Have a great Tuesday everyone!
