Re: Go for the Gold--Olympic Challenge

I did another 4.5 miles since my last check-in.  61 down, 3 to go this weekend.  How's it going for Pam and Beth?  More miles to report?

Re: Go for the Gold--Olympic Challenge

     Hi, Bee,

Thanks for asking- I missed my first day of not walking the other night (woke up too late for work and then came home fully intending to workout, but was so fatigued I couldn't move, but walked 3 miles this a.m. Ok, I'm now officially at the Silver (48 miles total)! Didn't think I'd actually get so far!!

I'll try to go back to my 4 miles/day this weekend (or maybe even more!) to get as close to Gold as I can. I think this walking program I'm doing is the reason I'm consistently losing weight thus far- so thanks for motivating me to move! I agree with Sunnygirl1 (I think it was you ?) that we should join another challenge to keep the momentum going. It really works!

Bee, congratulations on getting the GOLD! You should be really proud of yourself. Pam, how are you doing? Susan, I hope you can find a way to squeeze in a little walking once you get re-adjusted to your work schedule. I think walking is the best thing we can do for ourselves in terms of physical health, mental health, and weight loss.

That's my sermon for the night...

Hi, everyone.  I did my last 3 for Gold.  Did you make bronze already Pam, or do you need a short extension due to the knee trouble?

Re: Go for the Gold--Olympic Challenge

Thanks, Lisa. I would love to do another purely physical challenge again. It really pushes me to go further, but I just want to keep it simple right now since I'm also doing a "lose20lbs. by Christmas" challenge. Maybe in January, I'll start another physical one. Good luck with the one you're doing now!
