    Plateau

    Hi all,

I lost about 20 lbs right away when I started using Alli and have plateaued for the last couple months.  I have 10 lbs more to go but they won't seem to budge.  I have been working out like crazy and sticking to the plan but am wondering if maybe I am gaining muscle mass while losing fat because of all the working out so am not actually losing lbs.  How do I lose the last 10 lbs?  Help!

    Julie

    Hi Julevia,

Congratulations on your success! You may be at a healthy weight right now so that is why you can't lose the last 10 lbs. Have you checked your BMI (body mass index)? That will tell you if you are at a healthy weight.

    Let me know,

    Re: Plateau

    Hi Betty,

Thanks so much.  I am 5' 7 1/2" so I believe I need to get down to 160 to be a healthy weight.  I am willing to compromise at 165 but I just can't seem to get below 175.  Any advice?

    Thanks,

    Julevla

    Re: Plateau

I am right there with you!  I got 12 pounds off then stopped.  17 to go.  Trying to look at things in 5 and 10 pound increments.  Trying not to be obsessive and focus on the correct behaviors and choices.

    Hang in there

    Re: Plateau

I'm right there too.  I am 168 and truly want to be 135-140.  I'm 5'2.  the dreaded platue has been with me for about a month and a half.  after reviewing my last two month's though i have realized that most of July was in the car (vacations, misc travel) so I think I need to buckle down and dig in.  I also hate working out in the summer as it ave. 110=120 here daily.  so I think my platue is truly me.  I think I have come this far I am SURE this to must pass!  hang in there my friend this to will pass, I'm cheering you on!

     Tam,

Looks like you're similar to me.  I need to be 135-140 to be "there".

Summer's over.  Let's go girl!  I'll be cheering you on!

One pound a week delights me!

    Re: Plateau

Well, I've been plateaued for about four months now!  I have five more pounds to go (ten would be better).  When I looked at the facts squarely in the eye I had to admit the reason is because I've been eating too much.  Who knew!!!???  So this is my new plan:  I signed up for one month of NutriSystem, which I am splitting with my daughter.  For two weeks I am going to buckle down, just eat their food, plus some vegies and fruit, kick the exercising way up, and see if that will jump start me.  Whew, the last few pounds are tough, that's all there is to it.  Good luck!

    Judy
