    what to do on vacation

    Hi there,

So far I seem to be doing pretty good.  But last week while on vacation I was so confused I just stopped taking Alli all together.  I can handle eating in restaurants, but I found it impossible to meet my 'meal goal' of 17 g of fat, although I was able to keep my daily goals of 1600/51.  For breakfast I would normally eat around 5 grams of fat, then it varied at lunch, and was easy to make good selections for dinner, even when treating myself or having more fat than normal (for a meal).  I occassionally had a margarita with dinner, and always had grilled chicken salads with dressing on the side or fajitas or similar healthy option.  Although I didn't record my choices I'm pretty sure I stayed on track for the 'day' but not for the 'meal'.  What should I do when this happens?  (Either, way too little fat per meal or maybe over a little per meal).  Should I be taking Alli anyway when days like this happen?

I also wonder when should I drop down in calories and fat?  My starting weight was 169lbs, my current weight is 157lbs, my goal weight is 137lbs.

    Thanks, Kerry

Re: what to do on vacation

     Hi Karry,

Usually, you should not have any problems if you are a little under or over the fat occasionally.

I will encourage you to still continue to take alli until you reach your goal of 137 pounds (you are making great progress!).  You may skip an alli capsule occasionally for a meal, ONLY if you are 100% sure you are eating less than 3 grams of fat per meal.  Remember to use the nutrition logs or just the alli Fat and Calorie Counter that was provided in your alli starter kit, you will be surprised to know most foods contain fat.  For example broiled Chinook salmon = 15 grams of fat, 1 hard boiled egg = 6 grams of fat, baked chicken breast (no skin) = 4 grams of fat, etc.  I can go on and on....Hope this makes sense.

Let us know if you have any further questions,
