    Re: alli and heart condition?

Hi Tara. alli works in the gut; it is non-systemically acting and does not affect the heart or central nervous system. It does not contain stimulants and does not affect blood pressure. It works by blocking the enzyme lipase - which works in the gut to break down fat into absorbable pieces. alli is not contraindicated in any of the conditions you list, but I would feel more comfortable if you sent me a list of your medications so that I can check to see if there is any reason you should be concerned. Also, it is always a good idea to check with your doctor before starting a weight loss program.

Looking forward to your post - best of health!
